Blockchain events in May worth visiting

in #blockchainevents7 years ago (edited)

Today I start a new rubric, “Events, Paskal’s selection”. It will contain the most important events, conferences, congresses and exhibitions on blockchain and crypt. Some of those will see me as a speaker, some I will attend as a regular guest. In both cases, some takeaways will go into this blog. For now, these reviews will be released monthly (or fortnightly).

So, May looks promising enough:

May 9,Blockchain Summit Latam 2018, Santiago, Chile

My friends and colleagues will be there, so I’m going to be able to observe the event almost in real time. Can’t predict anything upfront, and speakers are new to me but LatAm blockchain development in general interests me a lot, and Chile, which is the continent’s most advanced state, can generate some surprises.

May 19-20, WBCSUMMIT-2018 Moscow, Russia

It looks like a big and interesting event with strong speakers in the panels, Malta prime-minister, German Klimenko, and the President of NEM. Unfortunately, I’ll be away from Moscow these days. But there will be someone to watch out for me, so wait for a review.

May 22-24, Digital Business World Congress, Madrid, Spain,

The event is dedicated to digital economy in general, not blockchain per se. And this is why it looks attractive. Global KOLs and venture capitalists are anticipated, those who look the crypto way. I may be paying a visit… in case I do, there will be a report for you.

May 22, Crypto Expo Moscow Moscow, Russia

I have no strong opinion as this one is concerned, but the program looks fairly serious. Anyway, I’ll be away from Moscow that day and will have to pass on this one. You should probably go.

May 21-25, RUSSIAN BLOCKCHAIN WEEK , Skolkovo (Moscow), Russia

Looks like a fun bunch of bros, so I’ll be there.

May 28-29,BlockShow, Berlin, Germany
The event strikes with its magnitude and an endless line of speakers. The problem is that I can hardly recognize more than 4 or 5 of those speakers, while most of them represent fairly regular businesses and infrastructure projects. If I happen to be around on the continent these days, I’d rather jump for a short glimpse.

May 30-31, Fintech World Forum, London, UK

My honest votes for this one, will have to renew my UK visa asap.
