Mythical Bridge To Mass Adoption?
Could 2019 be the year that makes our dream of mass adoption of crypto-currencies come true? Well, the answer is a resounding HELL YEAH if Mythical games has anything to say about it.

And they do have something to say about it. I was more than pleased when I learned about this game developer a week ago, let me tell you why. Or maybe I'll just let them tell you; here's the "About Us" section from their official website:
We are Mythical Games, a next-generation game technology studio. We believe that true ownership of digital assets, verifiable scarcity, and integrated secondary markets will spawn a new generation of games. These new economies, based on digital ownership, will bring players, developers, and content creators closer to the games they love.
We are a team of veteran game and platform developers with a passion for bringing big innovative concepts to market. Our goal is to create world-class products that drive consumer adoption of distributed ledger technology through games.

The first paragraph already paints a smile on my face: "...true ownership of digital assets, verifiable scarcity, and integrated secondary markets..." At the end of this short post I will link an interview with Rudy Koch. I love his job description; he's the "Head of Blockchain" :-) They've already released a teaser-trailer for their first blockchain game, Blankos Block Party:
Blankos Block Party Teaser Trailer
It's short and sweet, but doesn't reveal any game-play specifics yet. Also the description on their Twitter page is rather short: "Blankos are fun and mischievous vinyl toys brought to life! Inhabiting their own offbeat world, they live the fleek life focusing on good vibes and good times!" The game even featured on CBS' 2018 Gamers Choice Awards Preview Show, and the trailer scored 150,000 views in the first two weeks!
This game is being developed on EOS. Or let me correct that: this games uses the EOS platform for it's internal market and asset registration. In the interview Rudy Koch makes clear that it's still early days for blockchain technology, and that it's only to be used for that which makes sense; so no whole game on EOS, like CryptoKitties on Ethereum, but a standalone quality gaming experience with use of the EOS distributed ledger where needed only.
But I especially like the second paragraph in the "About Us" section, where they say that it's actually their goal to drive consumer adoption of distributed ledger technology through world-class products. This is the goose with the golden eggs as far as I'm concerned. Crypto is just too complicated and cumbersome for the average Joe on Facebook, so the obvious route to mass adoption is to create a killer-dApp that consumers just use because they like it, without them even being aware of the blockchain economy running in the background. And it sounds that this is exactly what the team is aiming for.
And it's an impressive team to: Mr. Koch himself has worked for Activision and Blizzard on World of Warcraft and the rest of the team are equally talented and experienced. But the main thing is that they are game developers first; they're used to creating quality products that people want to play, they just happen to also be mega enthusiastic about the possibilities that come with blockchain technology. What's also very good to see is that they don't exclusively bet on one blockchain; now EOS is the best candidate, but that might change and the team is very aware of that. I invite you to listen to the interview if you haven't already; it made my outlook on crypto's future even brighter :-)

yep this is a big deal, as you said they are game makers first this is the important thing. blockchain is finally getting real games. i like eos knights if you want you can play for free but if you really get into it you can earn crypto, its basically a resource management game( the most addictive type of games).i cant wait for sim games like sim city or theme park with similar structure to eos knights
