Reaching Out And Helping With Blockchain

in #blockchain6 years ago

Yensesa has one singular agenda to alleviate poverty in Africa through sharing it's revenues with a community of stakeholders ( Yensesa Token Holders) while on a journey to become Binance of Africa built for Africa and the Rest of the world.

While Yensesa's motivation is a unique one, the means through which they are being done are not all that foreign. The emergence of blockchain has allowed for organisations to find new and safe ways to help those in need.

Building Blocks
A project from the United Nations World Food Programme associated with the Ethereum blockchain called “Building Blocks” has been helping provide aid to Syrian refugees. Building Blocks has provided aid to over 100,000 refugees who reside in refugee camps since January 2018.

Building Blocks integrates with a biometric authentication technology called IrisGuard. This allows refugees to identify themselves by looking into an iris scanner that is connected to the camp supermarkets where aid is provided to refugees. The refugees individually go to this supermarket and get the food they need. When they go to the checkout line, they look directly into the IrisGuard iris scanner.

There is no cash exchanged. The iris scanner verifies who they are. Once the system captures the iris scan, it then checks their bank account to see if there’s enough credit available to cover the food. And the entire transaction is tracked on a blockchain. Because each transactions is individually confirmed by using the refugee’s eye scan against the actual delivery of the aid, there is no chance of corruption or tampering with the program. Results of the “Building Blocks” system so far has shown transaction fees have decreased by 98%.

These savings are being applied to deliver other levels of aid to the refugees rather than being consumed by transaction fees.

ExsulCoin
ExsulCoin began on the February 12th 2018 is also providing support to refugees by giving them a source of income.

The platform uses blockchain technology to deliver online language and job training to refugees, who will then be matched with jobs within camps, or remotely, or in host countries. Those who use the system will be paid (and graded) not in conventional funds but in a special cryptocurrency—ExsulCoin—that can then be converted into cash.

James Song (the CEO of ExsulCoin) envisions that using ExsulCoin will be kind of like simultaneously earning an online degree and getting a job suited to you at the same time. You'd be able to hire freelance gig-seekers directly from a vast and untapped labor pool: the global refugee population.

These are just two examples of the ways in which blockchain technology is being used to better the lives of those who are in situations that are not of their own making. Blockchain gives us a way to reach out to others and better our community. Yensesa wants to be a part of that and one way you can be a part of that too is by earning a free token.

Yensesa has strong roots and is building from the ground up.

I don't see Binance as a real competitor to Yensesa. Yensesa has a conscious objective that resonates with many people around the world. Not to disregard Binance (it's a useful service provider) but it's mission is not aligned with individual people like Yensesa is aiming to be.

Yes well, we still have to catch up to Binance 's sheer size and marketcap and talent pool and customer base of dedicated social media users... but we will and we can. Binance only grew to We can organize the Manpower of West Africa and the talent of all the universities and tech centers in Acccra and Lagos and other African cities and really set fires in the hearts and minds of men and women throughout the region, showing them how they too can become a millionaire. Or even if they have a goal of becoming a Ghanian Cedi millionaire, and making around $200,000 USD as their final fortune, well, that is pretty cool too! For someone in West Africa, even being able t have a $50,000 dollar fortune is a legitimate fortune that one can live off for the rest of their life, especially when people are used to living off $20 to $50 a month. So imagine when people find ways to set up systems that allow them to live off the interest accrued upon the investments they made into their own ability to make value with their Brain. We are allowing humans to leverage the future earnings of their brain, by allowing Steem Whales to invest in them via Upvotes. When I see whales like @teamsteem or @thejohalfiles or @fyrstikken or @sweetsssj or @xaero1 or @therising give out massive upvotes to new users for free, I see them investing in Human Capital. That "free" upvote ends up becoming an investment into the life of a user who will then be more likely to add much more value to the blockchain! This causes a feedback loop where in a few years we end up down the line much much larger than Facebook ever could become.

Stem and EOS are truly the trillion dollar business ideas that will out compete the web 2.0 and 3.0 tech of Facebook Apple Amazon Google and Netflix the Faang companies... now we will have the BEAST system, the Bitcoin, EOS & STEEM or th3e BtcEoSSTeem and it is a beast a GOOD beast! Not a biblical beast but more like a beast in the sense that it is a natural force of the universe like gravity that will not be hindered by any man. This is a fundamental force of the universe here with blockchain, and to not get behind it is like to not get behind electricity of the internet! In fact all of human history has been leading up TO THIS point, electricity and computers and internet have all gotten us ready FOR the new Blockchain World!

Optimism rings through your comment. I can absolutely see the reason for your optimism. Yensesa is growing every day.

Followed you. Great project. Resteemed.
