Today we’d like to comment on SpaceX Free Wi-Fi project as we’ve got dozens of questions like: “How does World Wi-Fi different from the Satellite Internet Service Elon Musk is going to create?” and “Aren’t you guys afraid of being competitors with this tech giant? Well… First of all, we don’t mind competitive environment as it pushes us to work even harder. Second, our projects are much more different than they are alike.

Yes, we both have extremely ambitious goals to blanket the planet with the easily accessible Internet. But while Elon Musk is preoccupied with launching satellites into orbit, we keep on building global decentralized wi-fi network based on blockchain technologies.

Space X is going to conquer Internet providers, not our project as we are NOT providers. Our plan is to let people get additional income with the help of their private routers.

We target the same audience, that is the whole world, but use different means. As opposed to Space X, we are not going to build new infrastructure to spread out Wi-Fi globally. We are planning on adopting existing hotspots.
Despite the fact that Elon Musk projects are revolutionary they don’t make Internet users money, while World Wi-Fi offers router owners an opportunity to earn additional revenue by sharing Internet access capacity. Why do they get paid? Because advertisers want localized advertising. WorldWifi’s system allows advertisers to reach their target audience with their ads. Wi-Fi users will see advertisements when connecting to hot spots. And router owners will get paid by the advertisers for every ad view.

What about joining forces? Elon Musk’s idea is both to provide broadband to areas that don’t have good broadband service and to offer faster internet service with the help of satellites from low-earth orbit. If he brings his plans to life, high-speed Internet will be available everywhere and we will become the first company to monetize it.
