With each new generation of young people, knowing and understanding more than the previous one, due to all the existing information available, there is a greater need of trust in the validity of what we read online. In the employment sector, this aspect is even more relevant. It is for this reason why SpringRole believes that now is the right time to launch a platform that allows people to have verified CVs and recommendations stored on the blockchain.

SpringRole – what is it all about?

In short, SpringRole is the place where people can view, share and receive attestations on their professional profile and creating a verified resume that they can freely share and use.

There are not that many methods to check someone's background and the authenticity of their data provided. Indeed, some references checks can help a little to prevent a case where someone offers false data. However, most of these checks take a lot of time, and they have to be verified manually or through an external service, or a third party. Let's take LinkedIn for instance – a business and employment service that is mainly used for professional networking. Is it always trustable? Would I trust the profiles I read in there if had to hire someone?

Similar platforms have these efficiency problems with a system that is not completely reliable for skill evaluation. It seems like there is not enough value and thought placed in the endorsements made since most of these platforms and its features are offered for free. Moreover, many endorsements become irrelevant as others platform do not require any university or company to accept or reject a recommendation.

A SpringRole Profile

SpringRole wants to encourage individuals to have a verified biography ready for a recruitment process. How does a professional profile look like on SpringRole?

First of all, it includes the work section – where there are details about the job role, duration period and any claims or concerns attested from any companies.

Secondly, there will be an education section where the University verified each qualification and certified on the blockchain, plus other additional information such as grades.

The last part includes skills – where endorsements are given by people who belong to the user's network, but it could also be from any courses or certifications completed online.

The information from these three categories is carefully verified and once confirmed, it will be saved on the blockchain. Companies will have to approve the accuracy (true or false) of the education and employment information. The candidate's skills part though might be more challenging.

SPRING Token Utility

At SpringRole, the reputation mechanism aspect is essential. Therefore, thanks to Blockchain, the platform provides an ecosystem for an attestation-based reputation network with rewards to individuals and attesters. This ecosystem of the platform is built on the SpringRole Token (“SRT”) – the utility token and the fuel that drives the platform. Attesting rewards for referring individuals or organisations as well as other system transactions are all “labelled” in SRT. Here are the cases when users receive SPRING tokens:

• When referring someone to the community.
• When approving a user's proficiency in a particular skill.
• When a company or a university attests a claim made by the user
• SPRING tokens also provide access to premium features on the protocol.
