Orvium – Roadmap and Action Plan Review

Very few have dared to mess with the publishing process of scientific information for quite some time now. The process has evolved into a seven-headed hydra that taints everything it touches. Orvium is coming to change that with the help of digital currencies and Blockchain technology. The company is looking to build an operation based on their own customised ORV token to create a brand new publishing model where scientists, authors, organizations, and companies can follow a clear structure where everyone participating on research can have the recognition it deserves as well as the royalties produced by their ideas.

The Heads behind the Plan

This initiative came to fruition when a team of tech innovators sought the help of scientific advisors. Manuel Martin, Antonio Romero and Roberto Rabasco all have a background with organizations such as NASA, Fermilab, Telecom and Asos Ltd. While people like Alberto Di Meglio, Tom Soderston, Chris Mattmann has dealt with the issues of scientific publishing in fields like Aerospace engineering, nuclear studies, and CERN programming. Together they have come up with a roadmap and a plan of action to make Orvium take off.

To make their operation a reality they need some heavy funding. Their token economics data has revealed that they need a hard cap of $20 million to begin their work and they plan to issue 370 million ORV tokens to get there. From this amount, 227 million will be offered at the public sale at $0.10 per unit. Each step taken by the company has been organized by phases, each one nicknamed after elements found in space. The plan for each one goes as it follows:

Phase Zero: Nebula

At this stage is where the ideas and concepts were developed, the team was assembled, and they brought additional heads that in turn added more ideas with their knowledge of Blockchain technology. The white paper was authored, and the legal framework was worked out. At this stage, also a fully functional prototype of the platform was created, and basic marketing effort was set up.

Phase One: Red Giant

At this stage, it’s where the token sale takes place. Everything related to the generation of the utility as well as all matters related to the end sale publication report and the audit of funds is worked out here. The company will also hire additional talent to further development of the Orvium platform to receive the first users that will submit their papers for review and verification.

Phase Two: Supernova

A stage planned for the final months of 2018 or the beginning of 2019. The platform will be released to the public, the bounty programs will take place, and the journal management framework will begin to publish results. There will also be the issuing of the first copyright and licenses to holders

Phase Three: White Dwarf

Is planned for mid-2019, the platform will be re-launched worldwide looking for patronage and funding campaigns that support the growth of science and technology. Orvium hopes to sing up with colleges and research organizations in every possible field to incentive the publication model created by them.

Phase Four: Neutron Star

By the end of 2019, the platform will have achieved integration with big data analytics and will evolve from the prototype stage to V.1.

Final Phase: Pulsar

By 2020, Orvium 1.0 will be launched in fully functional fashion while marketing efforts will be increased to earn the trust of high profile partners in the scientific field to do the publication of an open source, fully auditable research the norm.
