A tie-breaking technology in the fight for decentralization.

Re-claiming your online freedom has never been so rewarding.

Our life is based on the decisions we make. And every decision we make is based on the information we have. The problem is that today it’s difficult to find reliable sources of information or to even begin forming an opinion about their validity.

It’s funny, the internet is flooded with it, but from choosing a car, to electing a president, to deciding whether to vaccinate our children, it’s difficult to know on which information we should base our life choices and decisions.
Investing in blockchain is a good example. Even though many people are beginning to see the technology’s potential, its difficult to decide which projects are truly creating new solutions and which… well, simply aren’t.

Now, because information is the stuff decisions are made of, there’s a real information war going on in the digital space. The war is for our money, our trust and our attention, and yet, as internet users, we’re the main losers of this war. We’re losing our freedom to information and, as a result, our freedom of choice.

Why? Because we don’t get to choose what type of information we’re exposed to. We can only access online information through our search engines or social networks, we have no direct access to information. Those communicating the information also have to publish their information on these platforms and this means that these platforms get to decide whether to present it to us, or not.

This means that those who control our search engines and social networks also control the information available to us and, as a result, many of the choices we end up making. To have freedom of choice, we need freedom of information.

But what can we do?

Even if we could connect and access information directly (which we now can),
how would information reach us? How would we know about what kind of information is out there? How would we search for it?

In fact, how do we know what kind of information is out there now? Well, it’s common knowledge that our current internet experience is governed by algorithms that analyse what information may be relevant to us by computing a number of factors such as our online interests, our location and other personal information gathered about us. On social media, much of the information we get to see is simply paid for, while other information that may be relevant to us may remain hidden.

Is there any other way?

The short answer is yes. There is.

Instead of algorithms and paid advertising we could use human intelligence. We’re social animals, we’re wired to process information together, to know about each other’s interests and about what may interest the people we know. Unlike algorithms, however, we humans must have a motivation to act.

But imagine a network where each participant is strongly motivated to forward information, to account for its reliability and to target it efficiently to people we believe are interested in it.

While at the same time, each is strongly incentivized to AVOID sharing information that is unreliable, irrelevant or simply boring. Such a network will lead us to information through a web of human intelligence and cooperation.

This is the 2key network.

2key saw in blockchain technology the opportunity to solve a challenge that was previously unsolvable. Using a combination of smart contracts and innovative proprietary technology, the network is able to track and individually reward each participant for their relative contribution to collaborative online search tasks.

the micro-task that each participant performs is simply to forward relevant links to peers, who can then continue to forward them until the target is found. Whenever the link reaches its target and an action is performed through it (such as consuming content or services, installing of an app or simply leaving details), the link rewards each person who was part of the successful trail of sharing the link forward.

This accurate reward system for each act of link-sharing creates a strong incentivization for each individual to share links wisely, based on their understanding of their social acquaintances’ interests and connections. As a whole, the network acts a human information processor that forwards relevant links to their relevant audience.

By creating a decentralized network that directly connects between humans, without the intervention of central intermediaries, the 2key network restores the power and agency of individuals on the web and opens brand new avenues for collaboration, problem-solving and commerce.

2key unleashes the remarkable inherent capabilities of the human network by offering a tool for simple and accessible online collaboration that is highly rewarding for everyone.
