A Startup Idea -Solution to millions of sufferers daily

Hi guys,
Writing my first post here. Discovered Steemit just a week back! (Why so late?)
Thought of sharing an idea that has crossed my mind multiple times in the last 3 years, facing a situation I am sure atleast 60% of people here would also have faced at some point or another.

Ever reached your office after struggling in traffic, only to realise you have left your laptop at your home?
Yes, me too. It's frustrating.
But what if things could be sent from Place A to Place B through people who are anyways going from Place A to Place B.
Sender can list his/her request along with amount he is willing to pay.
People can see listings and take it further or negotiate through the platform.

There-by making both parties happy. (Lol, as if it was that simple!)

One problem that arises with this idea is the identity or trust issue, what's the guarantee that any random guy who agrees doesn't run away with whatever is the thing to be carried.

But, with the introduction of Blockchain Technology can this be done somehow?
I have been following the blockchain world from 4-5 months now, everything seems possible & interesting with blockchain.

Its seems like a silly idea, but will surely solve a lot of small problems faced by millions everyday throughout the world.
So I thought what's the harm in sharing this with a community of really smart people.

What do you think guys?
Can this be done with or without Blockchain?
Has this already been done?
Do you know about any startup working on something similar?
Do you think it is a problem worth solving?
