TOP Network Biweekly Report： January 12 — January 25

Kicking off a busy month, TOP Network keeps making breakthroughs in technical development, community management, partnerships and team building. During the Binance Blockchain Week between Jan. 19 and 22, TOP hosted a live AMA with our strategic partner Ontology, and collaborated with Binance and Genesis Group to co-host an after party. The number of our Telegram group members reached 10,000, a big milestone of our community management. We held the first technical AMA on Jan. 24, when TOP CTO Taylor answered various geek questions in the Telegram group. Upon the Lunar New Year, TOP would like to say great thanks to all of our community members and wish you a blessed Lunar New Year!

I. Technical Development

1. Completed 30% of the big data storage on smart contracts.

2. Completed the reconstruction of the objects of LIST and MAP, the database on smart contracts.

3. Completed 35% of the reconstruction development of LUA, a smart contract based on the new data structure and database.

4. Completed the schematic design for node selection in the second round.

5. Almost completed the design of storage rental economic model.

6. Completed 25% of the development on SMART-OBJECT decentralized small data storage.

7. Updated the decentralized routing algorithm to version 0.3. Combined with the Bloom filter algorithm, the speed of route convergence increased by 51%.

8. Optimized the speed of forwarding packets on the decentralized network. Increased the performance by 60% thanks to the improved version of lock-free queue and multi-core development.

9. Completed the client-side code for decentralized VPN on iOS & MAC.

10. Reconstructed the tools for consecutive compilation, integration, runtime and testing to complete the schematic design.

II. TOP Community

1. The number of TOP Telegram group members reached 10,000, a big milestone of our community management. We will roll out TOP Network Fortune Carnival soon this week. Get ready for exciting games and large amounts of rewards!

2. TOP Network held the first technical AMA with our CTO Taylor. Taylor answered various geek questions in smart contracts, sharding, ecosystem, and more, giving a clear picture about TOP’s technical progress and innovation. More events for technical communities are on the way. Stay tuned!

III. Partnership

TOP held a live AMA in the Telegram group on Jan. 20 with our strategic partner Ontology. During the informative one-hour conversation between TOP CEO Steve Wei and Ontology CEO Jun Li in Singapore, they answered dozens of questions regarding the partnership from both the TOP and Ontology communities. 1. TOP CEO Steve presented at Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) on Jan. 15. Steve discussed with Silvio Micali, founder of Algorand and Turing award winner, on what the blockchain technology would be in 10 years, and met with scholars from prestigious universities in Hong Kong.

1. TOP team successfully co-hosted Binance Blockchain Week After Party in collaboration with Binance and Genesis Group, and met blockchain enthusiasts around the globe. We believe in Unity is Strength in the crypto winter! Let’s stay together and stride.

IV. Team

A new engineer Sherlock Lin joined TOP team. Sherlock graduated from a well-known science and engineering university in China. He worked at Hikvision on the development of the human-computer dialogue system and the security monitoring platform. He has years of experience in artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, and is skilled in multiple programming languages including C/C++ and Python. As a quick learner and a self-starter, Sherlock is always enthusiastic about new technologies. He will be responsible for the infrastructural platform development after joining TOP.
