TOP Network Biweekly Report：December 29, 2018 — January 11, 2019

TOP Network is carrying on at the beginning of 2019, making breakthroughs in technical development, investment, community management, and team building. The number of our Telegram group members is reaching 10,000. Rockaway Blockchain announced strategic investment in us, and our development team keeps expanding. TOP team will travel to Singapore from Jan. 19 to 22 for Binance Blockchain Week, during which time our CEO Steve will have a face-to-face conversation with Jun Li, founder of Ontology, our strategic partner, on Jan. 20, followed by an after party that TOP co-hosts in partnership with Binance, Genesis Group, LD Capital, Jubilee Capital on Jan.22. TOP will also kick off the first technical AMA in our Telegram group on Jan. 24, when our CTO Taylor will show up to answer any technical questions. I. Upcoming Events| Binance Blockchain Week

TOP CEO Steve and CMO Noah will attend Binance Blockchain Week from Jan. 19 to 22. We anticipate meeting industry leaders and blockchain enthusiasts around the world.

II. Technical Development

1. Completed technical verification of WASM C++ smart contract.

2. Complete formal verification of the big data storage technology of smart contract.

3. Optimized storage and synchronization of the scalable property under the accounts.

4. Completed the detailed virtualization design of the consensus system, which will operate as a mini virtual machine and significantly enhance the security and testability.

5. Completed the V0.6 version of the network simulation system, which can now simulate the communication network of thousands of nodes.

6. Implemented code freeze for Testnet 3.0.

7. Completed the initial optimization of TCP on the TOP edge network and relay of the UDP packet, significantly improving the performance.

8. Optimized the heartbeat performance as well as the automatic detection and notification of DHT nodes.

9. Enabled initial support for multi-layer DHT networks.

III. TOP Community

The number of TOP Telegram group members is reaching 10,000, with an increasing number of active discussions every day. TOP Network Community Sticker Design Competition came to an end. Thanks to our community member Qdoggy, we luckily got a customized pack of TOP stickers, a set of pandas who are now super popular and active in our Telegram group.

TOP Network was invited by TokenGazer, a blockchain research organization for an AMA on Jan. 10. TOP CEO Steve answered insightful questions from TokenGazer researchers and community members in technical innovation, team management, Dapp development, etc. Read the recap for more details.

IV. Partnership

V. Team

An experienced engineer Hench Ye joined TOP Network. Hench graduated from Zhengjiang University with a master’s degree in computer science. He worked at Huawei for 8 years focusing on firewall R&D, and has extensive experience in the underlying network protocol and C++ development. After joining TOP, Hench will take charge of the research and development of the underlying network platform.
