Blockchain bring us opportunity to build better society
From the dawn of our existence as a species we are developing hierarchical structures of society. As our civilization evolves we refine this structures and organisations. We start with slavery then move on to feudalism and rise kingdoms and empires. Then come industrial revolution and capitalism and as correction of socialist paradigm.
But we have constant issue with this society arraignments. None of them works perfectly. We have still inequality of people, poverty and too rich people on the other side, overclocked economy, environmental destruction, wars, and threat to self-destruct our self's.
But now we have finally remedy for all this problems as Andreas M. Antonopoulos proposed. First time in the history of mankind we have a chance to exchange hierarchical model of decision making with flat network of nodes which don't need to trust each other, but they can exchanged trusted information and with consensus can together make vital decisions. This model or technology is Blockchain.
This technology makes it possible to construct a ledger with network of equal, peer to peer communicating nodes and on this network trusted information can be exchanged. The first experiment of this technology was Bitcoin started in year 2008. Digital money transactions was the first choice of trusted information to be used in this experiment. Now this paradigm of crypto currencies have over 1000 projects already.
And now the field of Blockchain use is widening. Essentially it can be implemented in all cases where hierarchical models could be supplemented with flat network of nodes. We can have decentralized, companies, banks, governments....
This type of organisation have one unique property never achieved until now. Trust between nodes in network is evenly distributed. Every one can trust another person with equal certainty. Such networks are decentralized and can't be shut down, there is no central point of decision making, corruption is impossible, because you don't know who to bribe (if you want to bribe someone you have to bribe everybody).
In hierarchical structures corruption is possible in every node of hierarchical tree from the lowest officer to the president level. Persons on high positions in hierarchy can exercise power, ban things, oppress ... Such behavior brings tension in society and is cause for protests, revolts, revolutions and in the last stage wars as type of society conflicts.
This type of conflicts is impossible in flat decentralized organisations or networks. Here scaling of decision making is possible for the first time in the history. Trusted information can be recorded and shared among group of individuals and everyone can freely participate in this information exchange. Now we have a tool to build really free healthy society which will be sustainable for the people and environment.
