Poop Coin
Who would have thought you could earn something out of your poop?
Yup that's right, finally we have a crypto that lives up to the term "shitcoin". Its basically an alt developed to reward people for their poop.
It maybe trivial for you but the South Korean government thinks its an interesting project it would be willing to support. In fact, it is investing 10 billion won (approx. $8.65 million) on the shit coin ‘kkul’ (honey in Korean). Its a human waste-to-virtual currency university project that rewards donors of human waste with a virtual currency.
The concept will use a waterless toilet system facility within a laboratory that converts waste into biofuel and rewards users with kkul.
Here's the catch, they don't want your poop wet. It has to be dried out first to do away with the odor.
'Honey' for poop? Not a bad deal!
A single person could amass about $100 or more per year receiving $0.43 for each donation. Pushing the value of that donation to $3.12 by 2020 would be around $700 per year. Not bad. Are they going to sell the energy produced in order to increase the value of the 10 kkul? Interesting concept to make use of human waste but somewhat taboo in other parts of the world.
Don't know yet as very there is very little publication about the project.
