BLOCKCHAIN vs CENTRALISED

THE BATTLE FOR CENSORSHIP..!!

In the left corner we have BLOCKCHAIN and in the right corner we have CENTRALISED SYSTEMS and the battle for CENSORSHIP begins.

Blockchain Technology is all about decentralising antiquated systems that were put in place before the Internet took off in the early 2000's.

These Centralised Systems that were predominately developed in the mid to late 1970's have now come to the end of their lifespan.

Since the advent of the Internet these Centralised Systems have fought against sharing, validation and verification of information.

This is all about to change.

Sharing, Validation and Verification

Centralised Systems are what they are, centralised and dictated by who owns the information.

These Centralised Systems decide what is shared, how the information is validated and what verifications are required.

Blockchain on the other hand is the total opposite.

As a Decentralised System not one entity owns the information, but the entire information is shared, validated and verified by consensus.

BRUTE FORCE AND POWER

The sheer brute force and power of Blockchain Technology is enormous, as true validation is achieved not by dictatorship but by consensus.

This is a powerful piece of kit and one that certain Centralised Systems will not want to give up easily.

IT'S A MATTER OF TIME

It is simply a matter of time when Blockchain Technology is chosen as the preferred method of sharing and distribution of information, at which point a simple question will be asked. "Is it Blockchain Compliant? Yes or No?"

THE WINNER

I am often asked which will win in the end, Blockchain or Centralised Systems, and I always answer with the same response "Blockchain has ALREADY WON..!!"

Thanks for reading.

I like the decentralized blockchain concept and I truly hope it will eventually win, but I think you are a bit premature to assume it already has won. There is still a lot of work ahead for this goal to be reached

It's won simply because it is out there..!! Give it 5-7 years and "centralised" would be something that roamed with the dinosaurs..!! Stephen

I really hope so, because it would mean also a more decentralized and therefor more democratic political system

"...a more decentralized and therefor more democratic political system." You nailed it..!! Stephen

There may not be a winner. Partially centralised or limited open blockchains may be part of the solution. There may be an element of control or regulation involved. For a time at least.

My dear Stephen, I would like to share your optimism unconditionally, but we are still in the first round of this match:
