One third of all bitcoinplatforms has become a victim of hacks in the past couple of years . Hackers are chasing the digital currency. This is according to a survey from the University of Tulsa.

Earlier this month, for $ 70 million crypto coins were removed from bitcoinbeurs Bitfinex.

In addidtion, in the stock market in Tokyo MtGox there was $ 350 million diverted. The currency is on the rise, and while the common register where transactions are recorded - the block chain - is gaining popularity as barely crackable network. However, it gets hacked all the time, so how secure is it in reality?

Almost half of all bitcoin companies stop in six years. Also, users of bitcoin networks can hardly insure themselves for the loss of digital coins by hacks.

According to research from the University of Tulsa's Tandy School of Computer Science, the number of platforms that were cracked between 2009 and March 2015 was 33%. This is one of the first studies on the extent of bitcoin hacks, but results are worrying.
