In the preceding post we reviewed #Whiteblock's accusation that #EOS is not a blockchain. We expected some response from #EOS team, but may be they were too busy in the global EOS hackathon in San Francisco. But another #Whiteblock allegation that “EOS block producers are highly centralized" was adequately responded by a youtuber, who also initiated a debate on reddit.
In one of his earlier interviews, #eos creator @dan clearly stated that "decentralization isn't what we are after," and then goes on to show that 3-4 network mining pools controlling 50% of bitcoin and ethereum respectively, which makes them much more centralized than #EOS.
To me it looks like to centralize is human to decentralize is divine. No matter how much technology enables decentralization human intervention will always work to centralize the power by one or the other means.
