1.Western Union Tests Ripple
Western Union today admitted openly – they are testing their systems with Ripple. They seem very quiet about it, as if it was no big deal for them. Nevertheless, another one on the board.

2.Monero Fights ASIC Manufacturer
Monero devs do not like the idea of mass mining their currency. Their plan is to do undergo soft forks twice annually and if required an immediate call to action – instant fork. These forks will not do much for user-end experience, however they will change Cryptonight, Monero Proof of Work hash algorithm, so that current ASICs will be useless. Knowing how cunning Bitmain is, this fight will be fun to watch.

3.Bitfinex To Set Up Decentralized Exchange
One of the problem for decentralized cryptocurrency is centralized exchange. Bitfinex announced their plans to build EOSfinex, an exchange that will be built on EOS.IO platform. This would dramatically increase overall capabilities of the exchange. It is not yet known when exactly the launch will happen, but this will be big.

4.Coinbase Introduces Crypto Merchant Solution
Something like PayPal for Ebay. Officially, Coinbase do not talk much about it. This new feature is sort of in testing phase with some limited number of merchants participating. One thing to note is, that their n1 coin is Etherium – are they planning a pump? Who knows.
5.BitGrail Exchange Hack. Saga Continues
The situation still is very unclear whether it was a hack indeed. BitGrail officials got in touch with related parties – Nano devs and Police – however the overall situation is moving very slowly. This does look like a hack to me, yet if it is not, these Italians are really smart.
