AION RESOLVES PRIVACY & SCALABILITY PROBLEMS IN BLOCKCHAIN

in #blockchain7 years ago

Aion is the first multi – tier blockchain network designed to address the problem of limited scalability, privacy and interoperability challenges of blockchains. Aion network is designed to support custom blockchain architectures while providing a trustless mechanism for cross – chain interoperability. The origin of Aion network is AION – 1 which is the first dedicated, public and enterprise blockchain. It is a state of the art, third generation blockchain that introduces a new paradigm of security, fairness, representation and cryptoeconomic incentives.
According to history, Aion is a third generation blockchain that will enable a private or public organization to Federate - send data between any Aion complaint blockchain and ethereum, Scale - provide for transaction processing and Spoke – which allow the creation of customized blockchain than maintain interoperability with other blockchains.
Aion tokens are the fuel used to create new blockchains, monetize inter – chain bridges and secure the overall network.
About Aion Multi – tier Blockchain Network
This network is like a computer network, which provides a protocol and standard for dissimilar or totally different systems to communicate. It will pass logic and value among participating blockchains as freely as liquid assets. The value of all these, that is the technologies is that they enable one blockchain to transact with another blockchain.
The Aion multi-tier blockchain network comprises of the following features:
 Connecting networks.
 Imterchain transactions which comprises further of format routing and state.
 Bridges : this bridge is responsible for signing and broadcasting an inter – chain transaction only if they have been sealed in the source blockchain and an interchain transaction forwarding fee has been paid as well as informing the connecting network of the merkle hash updates of the participating network. The bridge is made up of features like Registration, Competition, Bridge, Consensus and Fee distribution.
 Participating networks: this is a network that has successfully implemented requirements to integrate with the connecting network. Participating network should be blockchains, but should not be necessarily blockchains.
Components of participating network include:
 An AION compliant blockchain: For a blockchain to be Aion compliant, it must be decentralised in someway and support procedures commonly found in blockchain such as atomic broadcast and transactions, it must be able to identify interchain transaction as distinct from regular transactions, it must be aware of the consensus protocol used by the bridge and store a transaction deemed valid and it must implement lock time or something similar that allows tokens to be held by the network for some period of time.
 An existing network compatibility.
 Interchain transaction from Ethereum to Aion as well as from Aion to Ethereum.

The AION – 1 Blockchain
The goal of this blockchain is to:
o Connect blockchains and external services together through a contiguous network and provide accountable communication maintained through a decentralized network.
o Provide the necessary infrastructure to develop high performance, decentralized, inter – blockchain applications.
o Create a maintainable network through a robust and sustainable economic deal.
Basic components of the Aion – 1 blockchain

  1. Consensus – This will be used to implement the proposed architecture of connecting two or more blockchains.
    a. Bride Consensus – This is a lightweight variation to reach consensus quickly on the bridge.
    b. Connecting network consensus – which is a consensus protocol focused on providing stability at scale.
  2. Aion Virtual Machine (AVM) – the AVM is responsible for running applications on top of Aion – 1.

Roadmap
Aion – 1 will be executed in three phases:
Phase 1 – which is concerned with the interchain communication and bridging infrastructure. Its functionality includes modified high performance EVM, functioning bridging and interchain communication and a modified proof – of – work consensus algorithm.
Phase 2 is targeted towards a migration from the EVM architecture to the proposed AVM architecture. This phse includes the development of the Aion Virtual Machine, the Aion scripting language and the EVM legacy codebase continued support.
Phase 3 finalises the envisioned network infrastructures, providing infrastructure for fast, efficient interchain communication and interchain applications. This phase will introduce the representative consensus including the representative consensus algorithm.
Conclusion
The team behind this project is dedicated to realizing this dream of interconnectivity between blockchain networks which will play crucial roles in enterprises, government and public digital infrastructures.
Therefore, Aion looks forward to engaging you and getting you involved in making this dream a reality.
