Qiibee– Bringing Loyalty to Blockchain

Many atimes loyalty applies to all sectors of our lifes. It even extend as far as to animals especially Dogs being loyal to their owners making them feel like a fellow member of their pack. And therefore form the same close bond with their owners as they would with their canine brothers and sisters, giving the owners a sense of confidence and wanting to always commend and reward them.
Thats why people always say "it pays to be loyal".

Now, loyalty has extended into businesses through loyalty programs. 70% of us would agree with me when i say what really make us patronize a store or make use of a particular brand isn't just because of their great customer services but their ability to rewards you for your steady patronage (Loyalty). Due to this many businesses are applying several loyalty programs just to keep and reward their customers.

So it is a fact that;
• Customers are so into this program such that they wouldn't be loyal to a brand if it doesn't have a good loyalty program.
• some key reasons customers lose interest in loyalty program is if they did not provide offers that were of interest, and it was too hard to earn points for rewards.

Few months ago, i moved into a new city (Port harcourt, Nigeria) by the way it has been awesome here for me, lots of nice experiences. Here, one of my favorite mall is Spar, visiting spar is not only an opportunity to buy excellent products at best prices but as a loyal customers i get discount and coupons by joining their loyalty program. After joining their loyalty program you receive a green card loyalty from the moment of activation of every purchase in stores with the logo of their network will result in the increase in the number of points on your account. I normally go there for groceries and sometimes favorite branded clothes(it is really a big mall though with different compartment), visiting this place regularly i get to earn more and more point that i could accumulate and redeem to earn rewards from them. With this obviously said loyalty cards could add value immensely to my life by racking up a ton of points, which translates into discounts and coupons. So the little loyalty card, as i call it, will grow to help me save over the years while staying here.

Now, we also have the Port harcourt city health shop (PHS) and Yudala (a gadget store). For PHS, the thing is that it is not really among the places i would love to go because i only get to go there when am down or have certain other need for drugs being that God has always been faithful to me and blessed me alot with good health 😀😊. And as for my Gadgets, i only for them when need arises too. The loyalty programs in both is pretty much same as that of Spar. My point here is me racking up points from both places are not as frequent as that of Spar because in a month i go there like 2-3times, taking it ages to accumulate points and eventually going to waste owing to the fact that i might later on choose to get my drugs from somewhere else more convenient for me or it eventually expiring without remembering my previous point earned.

Critical Reasoning

The problem here, the market is fragmented. Imagine a situation where all loyalty programs were interconnected to a particular platform and customers won't just collect points from stores they do not patronize very often and let them go to waste but instead they could exchange them with the ones they use on a regular basis. This could only be possible if and only if various brands and stores partaking in issuing loyalty points to customers can be unified in one marketplace!

Qiibee is the Answer

Qiibee is an ethereum blockchain-based loyalty ecosystem which aims to connect the fragmented market, develop and increase its efficiencies as well as remove central data authority through the provision of a loyalty platform and developer interface on which every loyalty application can be tokenized.

Why Blockchain technology Qiibee was the obvious answer

Datas are involved so therefore as a result of the risk that data associated with loyalty programs face, a technology that could fight against this is needed to avoid manipulation of these data and so a Blockchain technology was needed. Decentralizing the data and storing them on blockchain reduces cost for management and security of data by Companies. Thus, the blockchain not only cuts away a central data authority but saves these companies a lot of capital.

Token Economic

The qiibee platform is based on the Ethereum blockchain where the ERC20 token, QBX is deployed. The QBX is used as a sort of entrance and exit to the qiibee ecosystem and loyalty tokens is used while existing in the private blockchain.

How It Would Solve This Problem

Qiibee is a platform that caters for all from brands and stores down to the customers. Spar, Port harcourt city health shop and Yudala needs to be on the platform for them to function on it.

They have to set their budget for the program which is eventually converted to their loyalty Token. The qiibee platform then creates their brand tokens and sends to them with all three still having full control (deciding how rewards are issued and redeemed) of the interaction and other engagement with their customers.

Spar, PHC and Yudala could also tap into a large existing community of loyalty program users in the qiibee ecosystem and expand their reach. Due to the fact that the tokens are tradeable and have value, the tokens will not be accounted for as deferred revenue and since qiibee uses blockchain technology as explained earlier their company's costs and risk are reduced.

My Benefits from Qiibee

Now as a customer of Spar, PHS and Yudala be it full time or Part time i could collect points (in tokens) from all three and exchange it for another token which i favour of the most. For example: i would love to get some groceries from Spar and i don't seem to have any available point there. But i noticed since i barely use my PHS token, i would have quite some points (now token) there, so i simply just exchange them for that of Spars' and redeem it to get my groceries. Isnt that Awesome?

It does not just end at that, i could also exchange tokens with other customers who would probably needs them within the ecosystem. That is to say i could send or receive tokens from others and participate in the different brands’ redemption offers. And the most beautiful one of them all is that i could sell them for other cryptos be it bitcoin or even earn real cash.
Lastly, it is secure to all.

Now with the Qiibee app, i just need to create one wallet for all my rewards. i could find my tokens from Spar, PHS and Yudala all in one wallet instead of multiple wallets all loyalty programs will be connected to the same wallet and can be managed through the qiibee app.
On the overview section of the App, all collected token from Spar, PHS and Yudala could be viewed.

The app also provide other functions like
• Alerting me about new and ongoing loyalty programs inside the qiibee ecosystem
• ‎Helping me trade and exchange loyalty tokens with other users in the ecosystem as well and
• ‎Helps me back up my data incase of any unforeseen contingency
