The XYO Network is currently developing cutting edge technology for proof of location blockchain applications. Data from the around the world will be used by the XYO Network to conclude whether or not an object is currently in a specific location. Once the packages location is at a specific coordinate, the smart contract can then release payment to the merchant. This will ensure users only pay for something that they receive.
Another potential use for XYO Network technology could be for retail stores or small businesses. Maybe they want to offer a promotion and reward customers for making a visit to their store. They could offer a coupon or discount for visiting during a certain time period using a smart contract to release the incentive once verification of location is complete. Additionally, maybe a school wants to offer credit if students visit some historical site and then make a report about it. Location verification could ensure that they actually went to the location. Sounds interesting but a lot of people take advantage of spoofing your location and stuff like that...but this is interesting tho to say the less
This one looks really good, I have not seen a location application like this before. I'm going to take a closer look at this one. It has the potential for many real use applications.
