Buddy - Decentralized Application Development - Part 1

Buddy aims to become the place to go when it comes to building apps and development automation. They want to give developers more time to be creative. Many businesses and organizations struggle to adopt development automation. Buddy is going to make it much easier for large scale implementation and they believe in using an open model so developers can supply good add-ons. They also believe in using auto scaling features.

Buddy is an already established business in this fast growing market sector, and they have a self hosted version of their platform which can be utilized for the development of the decentralized application platform. Buddy was founded in 2007, and in 2015 they started to focus on working on development automation. The team is quickly gaining success in this field.

Buddy has three main business solutions. A private automation GRID, an open DevOps marketplace, and a shared automation GRID. For part one of my article series, I will describe more about the DevOps marketplace. So far Buddy has created more than eighty automation actions that can be used to help people deploy and develop software. This makes the building and testing of applications a simple process. The platform is also open to actions developed by third parties. Similar to the Google Play store, the DevOps marketplace will provide access to these actions which can be paid or free. There is no limit to the number of possible actions that may be offered in the marketplace. The marketplace will be an integral part of the whole Buddy ecosystem.
