GLOBAL REIT – Changing the Traditional REIT Industry thru Blockchain
Overview
Global REIT is a blockchain based Real Estate Investment Trusts where they can create global real estate investment portfolio which offers value-added benefits than traditional REITs. In real estate sector, foreign investments are not suitable for investors due to different rules and regulations of different countries. For this problem REIT were introduced into the market where anyone can invest in any type of real property. So, Global REIT is also working on same principles, but they are adding blockchain technology to target crypto investors.
Working
This platform is working on Ethereum blockchain where taking advantage of smart contracts to create custom asset tokens (GRET). It is also enabling secondary token called GREM. The working of this platform where the asset owner registers his/her assets with Global REIT Fund Manager(GRFM). GRFM will get a notarized proof of the registered asset in their smart contract. On the other side, investor gives Ethereum or Bitcoin to deposit in smart contract. The investment currency is sent to the asset owner and GRET token is sent to investor.
Platform
The Global REIT platform is based on three components. They are –
- Asset Management Module – This module manages the front-end and backend functions of the assets. In the front-end, they show all the information to the users like asset features, market trends, historical values etc. In the backend they handle the execution of smart contracts.
- Transaction Module – This module handles all API and interface calls with the external worlds and validate all transactions with both the Asset Management Module and Compliance Module.
- Compliance & Security Module – This platform takes care of the security 24/7 of all the transactions under their platform.

Ali Tumbi – Founder – He’s graduated from University of Texas, Austin in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He’s also having 15 years of experience in real estate sector and having ability to understand complex situations quickly.
Paul Christodoulou – CEO – He’s having decade of experience in real estate sales in Dubai. His goal is to continue to be a Real Estate leader, by providing his clients with all the latest tools and resources needed to buy or sell a home.
Vijay D. Vyas – Director – He’s having 28 years of experience in various fields like IT, International Trading, Merchant Banking and Industrial Management. His wealth of experience provides high value to Global REIT.

Verdict
The Social Media hype is good, and they are very much active on their Telegram Group.
The Website is explained in a well format way which is very appealing. The Whitepaper is also explained in a simpler term which is easy to understand.
There are 7 core members in the leadership team who are having good experience in real estate sector and blockchain technology. There are 6 advisors onboard with this project who are also having several years of experience in real estate and blockchain.
The Roadmap is explained properly in a short way till 2018.
The MVP is not available for this project. This project has weak partnership with Deloitte and it requires more partnerships. Their ICO is still live. So grab the opportunity to get benefits through this project.
