What Does Deloitte Have to Say? The Next Big Trend
Tech Trends, an annual research submission taken up by Deloitte is a collection of research papers wherein researchers from Deloitte carry out extensive research about the prospective trends in several areas of business and technology. This year they celebrated the 10th anniversary of the series.
The topics covered range from Digital Reality, Analytics, Cloud, Business Technology, Risk and Core. In 2016, they included another section focused on Blockchain and related innovations, keeping in mind the ever-increasing trend. The paper, is in essence, a perceived road map for future advancements in the respective areas.
Although the focus was majorly on other areas, with respect to the blockchain, the paper accounted for a lot of investments made in the space of blockchain, most of the grants going to private, corporate and governance solutions. A total pop $10bn was pumped into these projects.
Talking about the growing trends and large scale implementation, the paper noted the need for growth in the areas of Exchanges, Oracles, and Smart contracts, stressing on the importance of a clear base structure that acts as a catalyst for their growth.
