Experiencing the Blockchain First Hand
Scores of individuals and institutions are talking about Blockchain these days; its capabilities, its effects, its underestimated reach and importance and so on. And why shouldn’t they? In spite of all its flaws, Blockchain is everything that it promises to be and quite possibly more.
But what is lacking among the 99.99% of all the individuals talking about it is the hands-on experience of the fundamentals of a blockchain. Everyone talks about its impressive capabilities, but very few understand the functionality of it. Most haven’t actually ‘experienced’ a blockchain. It is important to stress upon the importance of trying to actually figure out the inner workings because you cannot fly a plane just by proclaiming how majestic and marvelous it is.
That what MIT’s Anders Brownworth thought too. And to fill in that gap, he made a simplistic tool to actually try to get hands-on experience on the working of a blockchain. His blockchain demo on Github is the best guide to actually figuring the internals. It is a step by step process wherein individuals are first guided through what a ‘HASH’ is, after which follows the ingredients of a 'BLOCK’. Then you move on to joining several blocks to form a ‘BLOCKCHAIN’ and experiment with its immutability. Following that is a ‘DISTRIBUTED’ blockchain and experimentation with the repercussions of being a malicious node. After wrapping your heads around all the basics, you can move on to create a ‘TOKEN’ of your choice and which can be ‘MINED’ and altered.
Please do have a look at the original version on GitHub or on the website Anders Brownworth or going directly to https://tools.superdatascience.com/blockchain/ to start experimenting.

The demo in excellent.
The website link for Anders Brownworth takes you to https://andersbrownworth.com/, which is incorrect. It should be to Anders
Ahh. By bad. Mistake rectified. Thanks @devann
Hi @reverseacid came here via @crypto.piotr. Thank you for sharing that page/tool to experience the blockchain.
You are totally right on that. But thats with everything whats new on the market. People get excited and have to be part of the trend, only because it is HIP at the moment :P
Keep up the good work buddy,
M
