Media Protocol – Connecting Content creators and Publishers directly with the Users

Overview:
Media Protocol is providing a single gateway between publishers, brands, content creators and its users connecting them directly. It is solving the current problem of content creators and publishers who must pay huge fees for every impressions created or on every click. This does not ensure that whether the users viewed their content, or did it have any impact. Media protocol has created a channel where users get rewards in terms of tokens for consuming the content and this in return gives content creators a platform to examine users behaviour by paying less fees.

How it works:
Nowadays user consumes content through Google or Youtube. If an app integrates media protocol, then the user will get rewards in the form of media protocol tokens for consuming content through that app. These tokens received by the user can be used for getting subscriptions or they can also tip the content creators. On the other hand, content creators or publishers will get a platform to connect and reward the users directly thus eliminating the third party. Content creators and publishers also gets an advantage of transparency from this platform. They can track how their content is performing. This saves the large fees which is distributed to media agencies.

Prototype App: CryptoCatnip

Media protocol have come up with their prototype called CryptoCatnip app which is a news aggregator and provides news about crypto world. This app rewards its users with tokens for consuming the content. With the help of blockchain technology and machine learning algorithms it will track the behaviour and moves of the users. This will be then used to redirect important links or URLs to the user. Media protocol also incentivizes to the private developers to integrate media protocol. Media Protocol thus gives a major advantage to the users to get relevant content based on their interest and removing irrelevant content from their way.

Why Blockchain?
The key advantage of blockchain technology which is of great importance in media protocol is transparent. Transparency prevents any user to manipulate the system. Transaction processing time is much more less. In this case the main problem faced by content creators was the huge fees paid to the media agencies to publish or promote their content. Blockchain removes the middleman in this process and thus the content creators can directly connect with users.

Pros:
• Media protocol has very good partnerships with Wachsman, Amazix, Kenetic capital etc.
• The team behind this project has good experience and this team initially worked for codec.ai
• This project has good hype in is social media platforms with 44.6 K followers on twitter and 34545 members on telegram.
• The white paper of this project is simple to understand. Complex terms are not used.
Cons:
• There are ICOs which have introduced the same concept of rewarding users for consuming the content. Therefore, it needs to create some point of differentiation from other such ICOs.
• There is very less information about their ICO on the website and whitepaper.
• This project is very new and has started nine months before.
• They have very less followers on facebook i.e only 448 followers.
