SKYFchain is the first blockchain based B2R Operating Platform
Russian developer of cargo drones OKB air solutions received a grant to develop devices from the national technology initiative by the sum 244 mill rubles. The grant aims to develop unmanned aerial cargo platform vertical take-off and landing SKYF and launch of small-scale production.
OKB air solutions will have to finalize the drone and its control systems. The system will have to learn to fly around obstacles consistently to fly in various conditions and at various altitudes, given the wind and the roughness of the surface.
SKYF will be adapted for the needs of agriculture. It will appear SKYF in the delivery of goods. It will mainly be designed to operate in Northern conditions. To do this, the drone will be equipped with protection against icing and long-range communication system.
The company plans to sell not the drones themselves, but their flight hours. Thereby it will be possible to lower the threshold of entrance for users. And they will not be sold to the end customer, but to its contractors.
The team is working on a platform product, on the basis of which you can create unmanned aerial vehicles of different modifications to solve various problems. The company can eventually take a serious position in a number of markets - from agriculture to logistics and rainfall stimulation.
To date, the platform SKYF is not comparable in cost and performance of alternatives among unmanned aerial vehicles. The maximum capacity of the drone is up to 250 kg/551funts. At a load of 50 kg UAV can fly a distance of 350km/217.5 miles for 8 hours.

Due to this, the drone can already use the internal combustion engine energy directly without an expensive electrical circuit of the serial hybrid. This provides the necessary consumer properties of the device, allows to reduce its cost and achieve mass implementation.

The compact size of the platform 5,2x2,2 m, allows it to be transported in a standard shipping container, and pre-flight preparation takes about 10 minutes.
All operations are fully automated, the flight task is protected by cryptographic signature and approved at the Central control center. This prevents the platform from running in potentially hazardous areas and directions.

The market for cargo drones is large There are already other large companies successfully selling commercial drones. Yamaha has produced 2,400 helicopters-type UAVs for the agricultural market. DJI, a Chinese drone manufacturer with $10b market cap, will build 100 after-sales service centers for drones in agriculture, will be the first platform in the field of unmanned freight logistics, using smart contracts and open to all comers with calculations on their own.
