Mobile Crypto for Everyone

For many people cryptocurrencies are an interest or a hobby, for many others they're a vocation or an integral part of a business model. As a globalised sector running day and night, crypto needs tools with 24/7 availability and the most obvious way to achieve that is with the smart device in your pocket. Mobile technology is now so powerful (a decent android / OS / windows phone is as good if not better than a new laptop) that the two naturally go together, hand in hand. A perfect match. I personally favour the high end Android models from Samsung, (but it hardly matters which platform you're on, Alttex handles them all equally) and I use quite a few apps on my phone to manage my Crypto Life.

I have several wallets, a Crypto Price Tracker & a Portfolio App, (Steemit of course) and a handful of exchange apps, (which are clunky extensions of my laptop). I also have Telegram to keep up with communities and the list is rapidly growing. Wouldn't it be really useful and time saving if I had all of this in one neat package ?

Graphene, the Blockchain which Steemit is built upon, runs at 100,000 tps. It's currently the biggest and most active BlockChain in the world. Alttex also uses an ultra fast block production rate of 100,000tps with the 0x Protocol. Compare this to VISA which runs the world's debit / credit card system on 24,000 tps and NEO which can handle 10,000, Ethereum starts to look like riding a bike at 15tps. Bitcoin can manage 5tps at a push. We're in new territory here, let's stop and think about it. Exchange technology needs to be FAST to execute many transactions simultaneously (with almost zero delay) and without falling over at the crucial moment. It has happened ! Tick Box 2

Decentralised Exchange

Designed top to bottom for mobile, the Alttex exchange looks and feels like a top notch, professional environment. Tight, precise, clear a well designed UX and offering all the features which you'd expect of a centralised exchange like Binance, Bittrex, Yobit, etc but with all the advantages of a decentralised exchange; more secure and with much lower fees, less of the hassle. Having everything in one place is a big step forward. Being able to buy crypto assets with any bank card from anywhere in the world, is a big plus, some would say essential. Tick Box 3

Smart Safe Technology - AltSafe

Tick Box 4 comes in the shape of Smart Safe Technology. Not only does the Alttex wallet store multiple currencies like Coinomi, (currently my favourite multi-currency wallet,) it uses it's own exchange, not the high / opaque fee ones which are often bolted on. Exchange wallets use different storage types. Cold Wallets which are safe but not immediately available to everyone store assets offline & Hot Wallets are always online. Hot wallets are always on but subject to attack and last year saw the BIGGEST THEFT OF ALL TIME from an exchange hot wallet containing $500m in crypto. An unbelievable amount. That type of theft endangers the whole system and undermines trust. Alttex have pioneered yet another Box Tick (5).

Warm Wallets

You decide how much is stored hot and cold.. Nice touch and with push notifications, it always gives you immediate balance and price changes ! just like a tracker app (but for real). No guessing. it will also show you profit graphs like a portfolio app.

Telegram is such a fuss

Don't get me wrong, I've been using Telegram for quite a while and it's a nice bit of kit. Mine is now full of crypto channels with interesting if slightly frenetic communities jostling for attention. Often thousands of messages per day but Alttex have taken the idea one step further and placed a messaging platform inside their package. (That's an immediate Tick Box 6*). Not only is this a really convenient way to converse, pass information, collaborate. You can also set up channels or even your own encrypted, secret chats. I really like that. Everyone asks about crypto all the time and I've become something of an advisor, including to some very wealthy friends.. one of whom is a stocks trader, but this level of conversation needs some privacy and discretion in order for you to be able to talk freely.

Alttex also does something smart. It's messenger offers the cheapest way to call internationally, deducted from the crypto balance of your choosing and if someone calls you, you receive AltX tokens, which you can spend, exchange or send straight to your card. Is this from the future or what ? It's like something from The Fifth Element.

Marketplace

Here's another really interesting component of Alttex. A marketplace for buying and selling goods with cryptocurrencies, a really interesting way to turn cryptoprofits into tangible things or turn things into crypto investments. Cryptopia has a marketplace and you can buy all sorts of items on it, from (I'm not joking here) an original Modern Art Print by a famous 20th Century Artist, all kinds of gemstones or items like I sold recently (for ETH): an original, signed piece of pop memorabilia in the form of a guitar case by a famous musician from the punk era ! It's easier than Amazon or Ebay. Tick Box 7
