Quick Introduction of me

I'm entrepeneur, father and tech enthusiast since i was a kid. I've followed the development of game technologies from 2D to 3D and played also a lot :). Bought a PC at a 5.000 $ price tag in the 90s with hard earned money and tried many things with that thing. I had always that outside perspective at the same time, like in Megalomania (someone?) and predicted for me and my brother the future of these developments and often i was right.

For example the publication of the 3DO system an advanced gaming console (that was not successful) at that time with 3D graphics never seen before we predicted people would be addicted so hard that they were playing 24/7. Many many years later it think nearly 15 i had a really talented student at the university he told me of his excessive playing in WOW (World of Warcraft) what almost destroyed his relationship and his life and i was remembering the beginnings of 3D gaming and our predictions.

Now i'm a 3D content creator, software engineer and consultant for my own planning software and always looking for new developments, methods, technologies to improve our product.

A whole new world

Now It's maybe two months ago i stepped really into this blockchain-thing..and guys what a ride! Before i heard of Bitcoin from time to time, like "it's not a real currency" "it's a scam!" "Bitcoin will die!" and so on like so many others and now i think it's just booming every day and i wanna know more about it. Like Jimmy Song (core dev at Bitcoin team) said in Vlog

two days ago it is just consuming me. In the last two months I've read hundreds of articles, dived into whitepapers, was on Slack channels, invested in currencies and ICO's, watched tons of videos by really great guys who do this since 2009, sometimes just 2 years ago and they tell the same .. what it was a ride for them with that whole new thing. In some articles or TED talks it's called "more important than the internet" and you know what, i get too less sleep sometimes ;) because of that crypto-blockchain-thing and to learn more about because i have the gut feeling that is really helpful also for our company in the future.

The Big Movement

Currently i'm feeling we are in a big movement because there is legalization all around in asian markets today there was that report about South Korea to legalize Bitcoin. What me made more curious before was as i noticed that Microsoft already uses the so called blockchain for his platform Azure we also use in our company. And today i thought after the ridiculous rise and fall of the EOS price after the ICO i should try Dan Larimer's former development Steemit because i wanna feel what's behind blogging in the blockchain and maybe share my thoughts and knowledge with you if you're interested and maybe it's helpful for that already huge community.

Every day i got new insights, see developments, twists and shots from that crypto world, it's simply fascinating how fast it's spreading through the internet and the physical world. Major IT corporations like Google, Microsoft and IBM are already in that development for many years and already using the new technology for testing and real world applications. And i know also that billions of the market capitalization of crypto assets and currencies shown by coinmarketcap is just a small fraction of the the 5 trillion market possible future. And when i ask friends and colleagues many of them not even know of that huge development but heard of Bitcoin scams from time to time like i before.

ICO Frenzy similar to the internet bubble

I know also there are many gray areas with bubble like developments in the currency speculation field and there are popping new ICO's out of thin air each day. But that is natural and necessary to separate the wheat from the chaff i think and broadens the way for many amazing things to come like standard IOT device interconnection in our lifes. It's just amazing and make me believe that's theory with disappearing kondratieff cycles could be true.
