XYO Network: Bringing Blockchain to the Real World

I have been busy lately with my personal life. My laptop finally retired without saying goodbye last month and I forgot to back up my cat's videos I bought a new one from the worst the most reputable online store in my country. Unfortunately, the delivery of the purchased laptop took longer to arrive than anticipated. I have no other way to verify the location of the package other than relying on the unreliable information provided by their customer service representative over the telephone. I also requested a birth certificate document online and the delivery took more than one week against the promised three days. My two of my cats went missing recently and it took us days before we finally locate these hungry felines on private property on the other side of the river. These location reliant problems are everywhere and inevitable. It affects everyone, individuals, groups, businesses, corporations, governments, your wife, your other wife (for polygamous culture), your package, your delivery, your luggage, your car, the rental businesses' car, your dog, your cat, your unicorn, you name it. These problems cost us a lot, like stolen or lost deliveries/package, lost of life, worsen injuries, death, collateral damage, billions of dollars and also cost us a lot of wasted time. Yes, we may have these problems but we are living in the era where we already have an existing solution to some of it. There's just one or more thing, most of them are centralized, proprietary, extremely expensive inaccurate, unreliable, and probably unverified. I believe this what XYO Network is trying to solve. With over one million location-verifying beacons already build (see XY Findables) and more than a hundred thousand more to be enabled, XYO Network is the blockchain's first crypto-location oracle network.

What is XYO Network?

XYO Network is a decentralized source of location data and geo-location verification powered by widely distributed network of interconnected devices. These devices are categorized by the XYO Network into primary components called Sentinels (it gathers location data), Bridges (it transfer location data), Archivist (it stores location data), and Diviners (it queries and fetch answers) in which they will come up with a proof of location consensus. The XYO Network will pave a way for a better and reliable location data to complement the societies and economies that are increasingly reliant on accuracy and security of location heuristics. It will also give smart contracts (e.g. Ethereum, RSK, Neo)the ability to interact with the real world as if it were an Application Programming Interface.

Take your minute to watch a brief video introduction about XYO Network's proof of location protocol which will connect blockchain to the real world.

Did you know that the company behind XYO Network is the XY Findables. This company is already in the business for the last five years building devices for the advancement of geo-location verification. It’s so clever that they come up with a concept and idea to leverage the sophisticated blockchain technology for a secured, more accurate and decentralized proof of location protocol. Grab your popcorn and put the cat in your lap ( if(has cat == true) {pet him/her}; else if {get a cat}; ) and watch this insider video about XY Findables, the team and XYO Network. Scott Scheper, co-founder, and head of marketing, (The guy that keeps sending you a lot of interesting email before the token sale. BAM!!! I salute your supportive father Scott, I wish I had one.) walks you thru nerd paradise in this video (Oh I think I need to be in that paradise too)

The XYO Network project is interesting, isn’t it? I suggest you read their whitepaper to fully understand the protocol. But if you think I’m asking too much because the whitepaper is full of technical stuff then here is more comprehensive Executive Summary for you. Take a look also to other informative documentsavailable to help you get a grasp about how the protocol works and the possible use cases.

What do I like the most about XYO Network?

As the usual format for my blog, I always pinpoint several important things about blockchain projects, companies or startup that caught my interest. That you should too. Without further adieu, here are the four important details I found.

  • An Important Protocol. Honestly, the protocol is very important. The world needs a protocol like this right now. The XYO Network’s proof of location protocol gave a clear idea of how this world could finally have a trustless, decentralized, verified and secured source of location data. It will lessen the errors, saves money and saves time for a wide range of industries that will integrate the XYO Network into their business model and of course, the benefits usually reflects the satisfaction consumers or societies and improved service and reputation for industries.
  • XY Findables. The XY Findables is the company behind this very ambitious blockchain platform in recent history. Unlike any other blockchain projects or platform that are just based on theory, the XYO Network is being backed by a company that has been paving a way for the last five years the advancement of geo-location verification. Making the platform at the high probability of success.
  • A wide array of applications. XYO Network is the first decentralized crypto-location protocol and also the very first blockchain platform that connects the real world with blockchain. It’s also offer a wide array of industrial and technological applications from logistics, to medicine, even for a hotel review, into the military, to trade and so much you could possibly imagine. I will be covering an article for this in the future.
  • Powerful Team and Advisors. It is evidently clear that professionals behind this breakthrough platform have the necessary knowledge, experience, and skills to actually bring this protocol into reality.

Technological innovations like this don’t just come overnight. It comes from the decades of development in the geolocation industry and realized that it can be elevated, simplified, decentralized and bridged between two realms, physical and digital.

“XYO Network is the most important and anticipated bridge of physical and digital world in recent blockchain history.”-Norman Cootauco

If you’re wondering who’s that guy. That’s me.

Did you miss Ethereum or Tron crowdsale? Worry not. The XYO Network token sale is ongoing as of this writing. The token sale started last March 20, 2018, and will run until May 20, 2018. The token price started at 1 ETH = 100,000 XYO tokens and will increase in price every transaction with the max price at 1 ETH = 33,333 XYO tokens. If you plan to purchase tokens, make sure you get whitelisted to make sure you are not a terrorist.

You can sign up for the newsletter on their website, read publications on Medium and Bitcointalk, join their community chat on Telegram, like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter to get a timely update from the team, developments, news and token sale.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

Without further adieu, here are the four important details I found.
It should be without further ado instead of without further adieu.

Hi, using adieu or ado seems to work fine. I think adieu means "goodbyes". Thanks for pointing out, but my I think it sounds fine with "ado"
