College Crypto meets Steemit!

Welcome everyone who has joined the group since the last post, if you do not already know me, my name is Noah Ramos and I love learning about Blockchain and found an interest in Cryptocurrency's in March of last year. It has been a busy last couple months that involved finishing up the semester at ASU, then moving up to Williams, AZ for the summer to take my summer classes and even start a full time job here as the Dairy Manager at the local Route 66 Safeway!

Social Media

For those who are reading from Steemit, I welcome you to the Cryptocurrency Focus Group! on Facebook. Those from College Crypto / Focus Group, I welcome you to my personal Steemit. Steemit is a Blockchain based social media that allows you to completely control your account via private keys. When you create and curate content through your Steemit account, you earn Steem that can be found in your wallet by clicking the drop down in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Crypto Balances

• The Crypto world has seen some growth and a decent correction that followed leaving the current Bitcoin balance at $6,455, Ethereum at $495.60 and Litecoin at $94.08.

Bitcoin

• Low Bitcoin trading suggests most of the weak hands have left the market, leaving the market composed of true HODL'ers and Whales.
• According to Bloomberg, Hedge fund Pantera and venture Blockchain Capital have are predicting that the price of
  Bitcoin will return and reach anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 before the end of the year.
  

Ethereum

• Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC) has denied to deem Ethereum as a Security.
• According to Forbes article, Wiliam Hinmin, the SEC director stated "Current offers and sales of ether are not securities transactions".
• In summary, the U.S. is not allowing futures contracts for ethereum even though in the U.K. these future contracts all already trading.
  

Litecoin

• Psychological Price Ceiling / Floor at $100
• Strong support around the $80 mark.
• Litecoin Summit (September 14th and 15th) in San Francisco Announced by Charlie Lee! on Twitter.
