Topics of the three different courses on blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies:
1: "Cryptocurrency Engineering and Design"
Bitcoin and other cryptographic currencies have gained attention over the years as the systems evolve. This course covers the design of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and how they work in practice, with emphasis on cryptography, game theory and network architecture. Future developments in smart contracts and data protection will also be addressed. Programming tasks in the course give hands-on experience in dealing with these currencies, so some programming skills are required.
2: "Shared Public Ledgers: Cryptocurrencies, Blockchains, and Other Marvels"
This course will cover the principles and core techniques of common public books, with emphasis on Bitcoin and distributed consensus. Topics include Bitcoin, Byzantine Agreement, Authenticated Data Structures, Lightning Networks, Proof of Use, and New Common Ledger Implementation Techniques.
3: "Entrepreneurs without Borders"
This course explores opportunities and issues for entrepreneurs worldwide, including Europe, Latin America and Asia. Links between the business environment, the institutional framework and the creation of new companies are covered with a special focus on blockchain technology. In addition to discussing a range of global entrepreneurial situations, the student groups select a specific cluster to focus on and understand what further development would mean. Classroom interactions are mainly based on case studies.
