qiibee: loyalty points POWER

IMAGINE THIS

It's shopping day! Another tedious week of work has gone by, but it's worth it because it's also payday and the check has deposited in the account. Ok, maybe not totally worth it, but the money's here now.

It's time to get in the car, rev up the engine and hit up your favorite shopping spots. But this time, you're extra excited. Through luck or fortune, today happens to be the day that you've saved up enough qii to cash in for extra rewards at every place you're hitting up today! A free appetizer from Dominos - those cinnamon bread twists are bomb! - a free frap from Starbucks, and of course, sweet sweet member discounts at those clothing stores you've been itching to go to. Winter's over and summer is coming, and you need that wardrobe upgrade to show the world you're on top!

Mm, bread twists! Imagine this... free! Image lovingly given for free from pexels.

By the way, those parking stalls that obnoxiously mug you of your spare change every time you dare to leave your car somewhere safe? Well, today is extra special because they recognize your commitment to throwing money at them. Today, your parking is free.

But hold on a second...

What's qii? It's my little nickname for QBX, the token used by qiibee. Alright fine, it's not an officially mandated nickname but I like the way it looks. qiibee is a startup looking to revolutionize the loyalty program space by way of utilizing the blockchain. Today's loyalty programs are all fragmented with no semblance of unity - you have to have like 20 different accounts to handle the points that come in from dozens of random brands.

I have points accumulating for the GAP, Sephora, Starbucks, Dominos, Madwell, Nordstrom, Regal theaters and a dozen other programs that I've forgotten about because remembering all the freebies in 20 different ways takes a serious mental strain. At some point, the freebies cost more in mental disk space than the value that they're worth.

Why can't we just have one nice place to store all our loyalty program points and never have to remember 20 different accounts again? And that's exactly the question that qiibee wants to settle, once and for all.

Now, a little more about qiibee itself. As per their FAQ, they've already done a lot of groundwork for getting this party started. They've "partnered with over 900 brands, including Burger King, Hello Fresh as well as the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). Within less than 12 months, 100k active users joined qiibee, generating 6 million customer activities and 35 million data sets." (qiibee faq) The caveat is that this initial partnering work was done off-chain, but that emphasizes qiibee's commitment to understanding the problem space as opposed to saying "blockchain! shiny! yay!" and making huge promises from the technology.

Fancy presentation to the world. Image from qiibee.

qiibee has already created an initial loyalty app for gathering data on thousands of users and partnering with hundreds of companies so that when they roll out the blockchain app itself, they'll already have customers lined up. And qiibee has already partnered with beverage brand Lattesso to roll out an initial blockchain based loyalty program. The momentum and planning of the team is fantastic, regularly and agilely releasing next-stage deliverables; instead of stagnating while thinking about how to solve a problem, they are actively developing and testing the solution itself.

Keep your eye out for when qiibee comes knocking, because qiibee is absolutely set to disrupt this space and revolutionize how loyalty programs are done. The team has a vision, a problem, and a solution - all that's left is time.

Time for me to stack up on some QBX from their upcoming airdrop! (see their main website resources at bottom of post)

To bad that it is not available in Norway. Sounds like a good idea to have the loyalty program inn one app. Hopefully I
This will expand to more countries in the near future.
Good luck with collecting

Thanks for stopping by! Yeah the block chain solution itself isn't quite available almost everywhere as they're early stage. But I think they're based on Switzerland, so maybe you'll get to try it before I do in America haha

Great piece of work. Easy to read and understand.

Im failing to understand where value of Qiibee will be coming from? in steemit value = content and human traffic. what about Qiibee?

maybe you could help me out to find the answer to this question? :)

anyway really good read. I would upvote you but my voting power is only around 50% so i need to recharge it. Till next time

Thanks for the comment! I believe the value of qiibee is in unity of loyalty programs - so that companies don't have to roll out their own programs, and customers don't have to juggle say 20 different shopping accounts. So qiibee intends to use the blockchain to save customer shopping data in a common format, so that businesses get their data more cheaply and customers also get their points with less fuss.

Hi
