The use of large data and technologies of intellectual analysis has recently become the main sign of the competitiveness of a company in the market. This trend leads to a more intensive accumulation of information, which, in turn, reveals to us the "dark" side of large data sets, which we will discuss in this article.

Loss of confidentiality is a relatively new problem, the extent of which people have not yet realized. However scandals and high-profile cases connected with it make us think about the consequences of a "transparent society". At the same time, an obvious threat is not only political manipulation, but also new types of crime, made possible by access to confidential data.

For example, a loud scandal ended the acquisition of the ICQ service by the company Mail.ru Group in 2013. The new policy of storage and transfer of information has led to the ability to easily download personal files of users, among which were scan copies of passports, photographs, contract texts and other confidential data. The error of Mail.ru Group was that all the files previously transferred directly from one user to another were now stored on the server. Download information from him could anyone - only had to use a simple program, which was placed in the public domain.

Another example is the experience of Netflix, which recently revealed at first sight impersonal data that described the cinema preferences of more than 480,000 customers. Unfortunately for the company, computer scientists Arvind Narayanan and Vitaly Shmatikov were able to identify several clients. At the same time, they, by analyzing the data, linked the available information with the political preferences of the identified people, which, obviously, most customers did not like.

Another high-profile case involving breach of confidentiality took place in 2006, when America Online (AOL) published 20 million search queries created by users within three months. AOL, of course, was aware that the information from the web search contains confidential data, including social security numbers and credit cards, so the company took measures to anonymize them. Despite this, just two hours after the publication of the search queries, two journalists from the New York Times managed to establish the identity of the user under the number 4417749, based on the search history. This cost AOL several valuable personnel, a round amount of money and reputation.

The question arises logically: how to avoid such consequences? Thanks to the Opiria project, you can solve this problem. At the same time, Opiria helps not only users, but also companies that need different user data. At the same time, they will not have to spend a lot of money on research, either go to various tricks, or acquire data from various intermediaries. After acquiring these data from a third party, no one guarantees these companies that the data fully correspond to the truth. The project Opiria solves the problem both for users who seek to ensure the confidentiality of their data, and for companies that need data about users. Let's consider in more detail, what is Opiria?

Opiria is a decentralized market that is designed to buy and sell data. This is a special platform that directly connects companies and users, excluding intermediaries. The very ecosystem of Opiria encourages users to share the data they are ready to share. For these data, users receive remuneration from companies in the form of PDATA tokens. The PDATA token is a special currency within the ecosystem of Opiria. This token evaluates the value of the data and ensures the work of smart contracts with blockchain technology.

Opiria is a transparent and open market in which all participants win. It turns out that for users confidentiality of data is ensured and they can track payments for their data. Companies receive more relevant and quality data directly from users. This will allow them to produce more sophisticated and unique products and services in the future.

The Opiria platform and PDATA token provide advantages for users:

  • receipt of income for the data provided;
  • ensuring the confidentiality of data;
  • ensuring anonymity.

Advantages for companies:

  • interested consumers who are ready to provide their data;
  • Qualitative personal data;
  • faster and easier way to obtain the necessary data;
  • pure reputation;
  • Ideal solutions for creating new products and services;
  • spend less on marketing and research companies.

How it works:

The main objective of the project is to create an honest and transparent decentralized market for the trade in personal data on blockchain technology.

Opiria developers have very serious goals:

  • During krauseyla, raise $ 30 million for the development of the Opiria platform;
  • make the ecosystem of Opiria global and large-scale and by the end of 2023 have 250 million platform users;
  • until 2023, to scale in more than 50 countries for various studies.

The developers of the project Opiria very grandiose plans. The following fact, which I will sound, will show all the seriousness and significance of this project. The Opiria project cooperates with such companies as ,BMW?Mercedes-Benz, Intel, Procter & Gamble and others. I think after such a doubt in the future development and success of this project will immediately disappear.

One of the latest news is a partnership with the Restart Energy project. You can read about this in this article.

Road map:

The goals and objectives set by the project developers Opiria shows the prospects of this project. It is very important that this project seeks to benefit both for ordinary users and for companies. I believe that this project is capable of producing the evolution of the data market.

That's how people think of the idea. A cool concept and I think a very promising project. It will be necessary to study all the information in detail.

Very detailed and useful article! If such well-known companies already use the services of the platform, then definitely I will also store my data and monetize them!

Interesting progect!
