SEELE: Innovating A New Era of Blockchain
Introduction
A lot of happenings has shook the world over the years. The collapse of the Lehman Brothers in 2008 will be remembered by bankers or financial experts. Other things have happened to humanity but what happened in October 2008 is revolutionary. This was when a pseudonymous cryptographer dubbed Satoshi Nakamoto came up with Bitcoin (Blockchain 1.0).
Ever since, the technology has continued to grow. New and advanced blockchain systems and its application continues to emerge. Ethereum’s smart contracts (Blockchain 2.0) is a computer protocol which enables transaction without third party, Lightening Network (Blockchain 3.0) which has improved and increased transaction speed, other chains like Fabric and Corda has created a highly competitive environment.
Another of such advanced and innovative blockchain technology is SEELE with the self-acclaimed title Blockchain 4.0.
What is SEELE
Seele is a German word that means Soul which refers to which is the core of any human reasoning or idea. Seele is set to revolutionize and advance blockchain technology hence the name Seele. Seele’s goal is to innovate so expect a more advanced technology better than Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of speed, ability etc.
Seele is powered by a proposed upscalable Neutral Consensus algorithm that allows a high throughput concurrency among large scale heterogeneous nodes. This has helped to solve the problem experienced as a result of the high number of nodes which eventually affects the consensus in existing blockchain technology which is contrary to the spirit of collaboration in a large scale among organizations and individuals. Seele’s consensus algorithm is exceptional scalable.
As highlighted in the whitepaper, Seele is going to use the neutral consensus algorithm to allow for a high throughput concurrency among large scale heterogeneous nodes. This results to a unique heterogeneous multi chain forest ecosystem. Each forest will apply individually to relevant businesses with each company set to run in a single chain cohesively.
The blockchain being heterogeneous has a lot of importance;
- It provides a subnet and platform for different or similar enterprises and services.
Such structure will provide resource optimization and security isolation within the network and there is a low cost transfer for users as a result of the cross chain access ability.

- All problems and shortcomings with existing blockchain projects are carefully explained even for a noob to understand and they offer the solutions to all these shortcomings.
- If the team can pull this off, then it will be the biggest blockchain project in the space right now as it’s not just a blockchain project. It encompasses everything from data, internet, business, economy and information.
- They have a very strong team (Professors, Patents, DSc) with a huge experience. Some are Dons in top universities all over the world.

Conclusion
Seele’s project is still at the infant stage and still being developed and maybe they will be able to dethrone existing blockchain projects is yet to be seen. However, if the team is sincere with their plans and stick to the goal, then it might be a really big project for the future.
