The Blockchain in Italy
In 2018 Italian companies spent about 15 million euro in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger technologies, with 150 cases divided between training courses and strategic consultancy to understand the modalities and application fields of this technology (50, started by companies that still have to orient themselves on the theme), consulting to learn about the different platforms and develop pilot projects (80, activated by companies that already have a basic knowledge of Blockchain), operational projects (10) and ICO (Initial Coin Offering, 10 cases activated by startup). Among these only 19 have had media visibility. At the moment the companies that invest in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger projects are only large ones and startups that look for operational support in the realization of ICO.
