DATABROKER Swot Analysis

Swot analysis, helps one know more about their investment in a given company or project as it out rightly depicts the major strengths, and opportunities and also helps a given company see ways of overcoming the threats and its weakness. Today i want to list this major key elements as i noticed in the DataBroker project.

STRENGTH
DataBroker draws it’s strength from its unique movement to harness sensor datas and making it available for use to all. This is the first of its kind project which is looking into sensor datas and its uses and as well providing a local market place for it’s selling and buying.

WEAKNESS

The success story of the DataBroker platform lies on IoT sensors. Anything else that affects the IoT sensors, directly affects the platform. For instance: in a case where there have been a breach in the data collected or there have been a hack in a given sensor, thereby saving fake or wrong data, such misfortune will tell on the platform as this distorted Datas will in turn be traded on the platform or such hacks and malfunction will bring to an abrupt stop of IoT and this directly or indirectly tells on the platform. Again, the success of the platform relies heavily on the mass adoption of the platform. If sellers or buyers are not readily available to use the platform, then the platform may stop functioning due largely to the fact that it is a market place for the buying and selling of sensor Datas.

OPPORTUNITY
At a time, when not much attention is given to IoT sensor data, DataBroker has the chance to open up people’s eyes and show them how much they can achieve with their IoT sensor Datas. This is a ground-breaking deal on its own.

THREAT

For every business there is always a threat present or ahead of its success. I want to highlight some major threats in the DataBroker project.

First the IoT hardware manufacturers will not be happy with this project as it is trying to help people cut their investment cost on the purchase of IoT hardware’s by making data which they will need available for purchase on the DataBroker platform. These manufacturers will try to fight against the uprising of the project as the project is trying to put them out of business.

Secondly, we see future competitors. Being the first of its kind decentralized market place for IoT sensor buying and selling, its success will bring about many competitors who will in one way or the other try to modify some aspects of the projects or better still present their own market platform to be better off than the present project.

All these, pose as a threat on the platform but it has all it takes to overcome it. First in the areas of the manufacturers, when individuals who purchase these hardware’s see how cost effective it is to buy their required data on the platform, the news of the platform will spread like wide fire thereby bringing in more investors and users. And for future competitors, DataBroker would have made name for it's self and gained more customer and user base and also perfected in the business.

With all this mind, it is worthy of note that the DataBroker project has all it takes to stand tall and rise above its obstacles and competitors thereby making it a good investment choice.
