"Trade by Bater" one of my favourite topic in economics when I was in high school,My teacher Mr Okafor explained to us how that was the major way of doing bussines and carrying out transaction in the olden days. Even currently it's still going on in some remote places in Africa and it's intresting to realize that these is actually a smart way of doing business.
In the 21st century where we live now, how can these trade by Bater or you can call it the Bater System be of any important to us?
We live in a time where we buy alot of things that we actually don't need or sometimes we buy things that we use just once or few number of times to solve a particular problem and that's it, we are done we don't have any use for it again and the intresting part is that they are people who are in urgent need of these items,these items could be of enormous important to,and these people also have other items that we are in dire need of its use or these other people have skills or service they could offer to us in exchange of our own items or service. Now you seeing how intresting the bater system could be right.These is just one aspect where the Bater System could come into play.
Secondly,have you ever look around your apartment and realize how wasteful we are, we live in big apartment with so many spaces and rooms that are practically of no use no body occupying them, just harbouring dust and being of no significant use. Now one of the major discouraging factor among tourist in traveling to different countries is accommodation. Very expensive and sometimes it's the only factor stoping couples or family and freinds from visiting there dream destination, now look at a scenario where you could give up some of your space in your house out to tourist to live among you in your neighbourhood instead of those expensive hotels and lodge and in exchange these tourist give you items or render services to you or currency(e-switch token).very intresting how the Bater System could bring the tourist dreams destination to reality and also bring important benefits to you through means you haven't think about.
