Utilize The Blockchain Technology To Showcase Your Talent

in #blockchain6 years ago

Getting your first job is always a memorable experience. Some people may be lucky enough to get that very quickly whereas others will struggle a lot to convert their dreams to reality. However it may be, the existing system of using CV/resume to apply for jobs is not effective as the employers need some kind of proof to assess the talent of an individual. Today, there are many resume building services available online which will help you to create a stunning resume. But, the companies are not hiring employees based on their resume anymore. For example, let’s assume that an employer wants to assess the leadership, problem-solving or crisis handline skills of an individual before hiring him/her. Will they able to know this kind of soft skills from their resumes? Of course, not.

So, the job seekers need some way to showcase their soft skills to the recruiters in a trusted way. How can they do that? You might have heard about a platform named Workkola. It is a talent assessment and placement platform which helps the digitally skilled students to showcase their skills. How does it work? The companies will be creating short term but real time challenging projects. Then, the students can apply for the projects based on their skill. If they are selected, they will get not only rewards but also a real-world experience to improve their knowledge and skill set. After completing the projects, the students will receive a feedback about their performance which can be used to get more projects either on the Worrkola platform or in the real world. Now, the Worrkola team wants to take their platform to next level (Skyllz) by utilizing the blockchain technology.

Skyllz Distributed Platform aims to develop a unified or single platform that can be used to manage all your skill/knowledge-based transactions easily. How will it achieve its goal? The SDP ecosystem is comprised of mainly two participants namely the users and the raters. Let’s assume that someone named John wants to improve his skill in a specific category. First, he can browse the list of challenges listed on the platform related to his field and choose the one based on his skillset. Then, he can complete that challenge/project within the specified time frame set by the creator of the challenge.
After the user submits his finished task, it will be reviewed by the raters (users who have more experience related to the category of the project). Finally, the raters will assign ratings to the project. Read more at Whitepaper, ANN/Bounty Threads and Telegram

To be accepted as a Proof-of-skill, the work submitted by the user needs to get 3+ ratings. For maintaining the quality of assessment, the raters will remain anonymous to the users. Once the rating is assigned to the users, the smart contract will be automatically initiated, and the raters will get SKT tokens for their work. What is SKT token? It is a special utility token based on the Ethereum standard ERC20 standard which will be used to access any STapp on the Skyllz platform. These tokens will be sold during the ICO token sale event. Check out our Website to learn more information about the STK tokens.
