An Update on the Work Developed on the Roadmap and Current Functionality of the Platform

in #blockchain6 years ago

DataBroker DAO is looking to create the first ever marketplace for IOT sensory data using the information provided by users to allow them to sell their own data on their terms to some companies that rely on a constant flow of information offered by GSM, LoRA, SigFox and other sensor operators lined on smart devices. At the current stage of development, the company has managed to make some impressive breakthroughs while building the platform, but they are still looking to fulfil some of the most emblematic goals offered on their roadmap. Let’s take a look at what they have achieved so far:

Internal Wallet Functionality

DataBroker DAO is programmed to interact with regular ETH addresses and multi-signature contracts for main functionalities. While the network is not currently integrating any new services, the plan is to make this happen in the shortest term possible.

The public deployment is going to allow the integration of some services that will make the exchange operations easier for users and it will also allow a normal flow of transactions based on digital currencies and FIAT money. While keeping funds using the DTX tokens, it’s perceived as a positive thing; the system is being programmed to keep liquidity available for users at all moments.

Sensor Data Listings

The developing team has managed to create a cohesive registry to list the sensors using to collect the data as well as the application used for it. While the company still needs additional funding to run implementation on the billions of sensors available in the world. They have managed to provide a framework that works really smooth to implement the discovery, curation, and escalation of the sensors provided by a single source such as the data offered by all the apps offered in the two major app stores found online.

Sensory Details

The DAO Network is perfectly able to offer a detailed rundown of the information offered by a specific sensor on the ecosystem. These detail pages offer all the information registered by the sensor to determine if there is something of value to any data broker or buyer. Each sensor also has different types of registry based on the source of origin.

The details on each information page can vary from geographical location, to score offered by other buyers who have access to it as well as feedback comments for it.

Data Packages Listings

The added value for most data brokers or data consumers is the added value imprinted on every piece of information. If the users manage to analyze, aggregate and enhance the data streams collected by all the sensor of their smart devices he can offer it as a package in a secondary market where data brokers will gladly take it after paying a fee for it to resell it as datasets to targeted interested third parties.

Even with all the hard work put into the ecosystem so far, the Roadmap still needs some clearing when it comes to their achieved goals. So far the company still needs to create the gateways that will make the integration easier with other exchange services. They also need to improve the frontend interface, and they have to build further enhancements for data integration to create better-structured data sets.
