As GPS proved to be valid, reliable and well known for a few decades, the idea of provable location is already history, but it is still growing and developing today. Therefore, history has proven that what most location services have not yet addressed is a system that detects fraud and spoofing attacks.
XYO Network believes that the location technology of tomorrow lacks certainty and security that is necessary to move us into the future. Therefore, the project designed by XYO tries to address this critical issue through a crypto-location platform focusing mainly on proving the origin of physical location signals. The XYO Network consists of four primary components. These participants enable a trustless verification of location data through smart contracts with the most extensive Proof of Origin chain:
- Sentinels (The Data Gatherers) – they produce ledgers
- Bridges (The Data Relayers) – they relay ledgers from sentinels to diviners
- Archivists (The Data Storers) – they have all historical ledges stored
- Diviners (The Answer Aggregators) – they provide an honest analysis of heuristics to the blockchain
With great success in the consumer business and over 1,000,000 Bluetooth and GPS devices, the team already has a few cases that they are already actively involved. For instance, XYO is currently utilised in eCommerce, Medical Care and Hospitals, Commercial Airline Luggage Logistics, Rental Car and Insurance Agencies, National Security Agencies and Drone Package Delivery Systems.
XYO Token
The platform has issued a total supply of 24 billion XYO tokens of which 48 million are projected for the public sale. The ICO is already live and will run until the 20th May 2018.
The XYO Network will rely on an ERC20 token called the XYO Token used to provide accurate, reliable location. Firstly, a query is placed, processed and then answered by Diviners. The cost of a query is determined by the amount of data a person requires, but also by the market dynamics. The more data you need, the more expensive will be the price of XYO.
