What is the distributed marketplace?

The place where creators get to license their content or distribute it directly to users – the final customer. Not only do they get to skip the middleman, but they also get to keep all their rights to their content, control its price and follow to process from beginning to the end, but they finally get transparency.

Is there a system supporting this change?
