There is however one thing that will be, in my opinion, difficult to prevent from: the diffusion of fake, wrong or falsified information (from the start). As soon as people with some power will upvote them, there is, I guess, nothing left to be done.
I am in particular thinking about pseudoscientific posts getting trending and good scientific post being barely noticed. But of course the same holds for every topic, including news.
Because reputation will be so important to people I hope the curation aspect will take care of this.
It's not perfect but better than what you get reading a tabloid at moment. Its amazing what they can pass off as scientific fact.
