Scriv Network: Exclusive founder interview and details about the project that seeks to revolutionize data verification

The Scriv Network

During our journey to change the way the world interacts and transacts while trying to lift ourselves into a healthier financial state we will come across hundreds and even thousands of projects that seem identical to each other or that are just outright disgustingly blatant greedy cash grabs.

My goal is to bring you the information about the projects that stand out against the sea of garbage that is infiltrating our beautifully decentralized world.

One of the first projects that comes to mind when someone asks me, "What is a good project to start researching for my next investment?" Is the Scriv Network.

Scriv Network is a brand new project that just came out this year that is a fork of one of Dash's more successful and secure versions.

The Scriv Network is an exciting project that takes traditional Proof of Work concepts, combines it with masternode technology, and implements real world use cases to form a new hybrid coin.

You will see me talking a lot about projects that allow a user to mine coins, and then use the coins that they have mined in order to turn them into new forms of income streams where the user gets paid in cryptocurrency.

Scriv allows a person to mine the coins using a traditional proof of work miner that uses computing power in order to solve algorithms to verify transactions on the blockchain. When a user verifies new transactions they are put into the next block on the blockchain and the miners that share the same mining pool are all rewarded (solo mining is also possible but is not usually as lucrative unless extremely lucky)

Once the miner has produced 100,000 Scriv coins the miner can now send these coins to an address and associate that address to a masternode by locking those coins for a period of time in what is known as a hot wallet. Additionally, the coins do not have to be mined, they can be bought on an exchange such as Crex24 or Graviex in exchange for Bitcoin.

At the time of this writing, 12/2/2018, one Scriv masternode will earn the masternode owner an income of about 143 coins, daily.

The masternode provides service to the network by allowing for instant transactions, private transactions, and by keeping a full copy of the blockchain ready at all times in order to broadcast it to users looking to delegate the process in order to save time, computing power, or hard drive space (think mobile wallets that do not have space to store full copies of the blockchain but still need to rely on a full node to get up to date data from the blockchain).

Once a user has built a masternode on the Scriv network the user is able to earn a passive income and get paid in Scriv, which can then be used to build even more masternodes, held in cold storage for security/safe keeping, or even exchanged for Bitcoin and other currencies on the open markets through central exchanges and decentralized exchanges. Bitcoin is one of few cryptocurrencies that can easily be exchanged for fiat currency at any time 24/7 through exchanges like Coinbase, Uphold, or Gemini.

These features all make Scriv a true cryptocurrency by allowing users to transfer any amount of money (up to the available marketcap of the coin) to anyone else, anywhere in the world and for extremely low costs without the need to put any trust into a third party like a bank, corporation, or government.

Because of coins like Scriv and Bitcoin we are allowed to do this for the first time in the history of our lives. This technology will give people all over the world access to property rights, lines of credit, and more... this will litterally give people the power to lift themselves out of poverty, without trusting anyone or any government (or bank, or corporation).

There are many coins in the cryptocurrency space that provide the value of being a true cryptocurrency but there are much fewer coins out there that also provide real life use cases outside of the ability to transfer value from one person to the next.

The Scriv Network aims to implement several real life use cases with many more being actively developed.

Scrivs use case?

The ability to be able to add time-stamping and authentication to your data. This means that you can create and attach certificates of authenticity to any content that you create.

This means that when you produce a video, a website, or even physical art, or products, that you will be able to prove that you are the original creator of this content and that anyone else who attempts to steal or copy your creation can be fought, with proof against them, that they are not the originator.

For the first time in the history of our lives we will not only be able to send nearly any amount of money, to anyone else, anywhere in the world, without trusting anyone else but we will also be able to protect our intellectual, digital, physical property against those who wish to counterfeit and copy it for personal gain.

Lets take a look at the whitepaper to learn a little bit more about some of the features of Scriv.

Privacy and Anonymity:

Scriv is forked from Dash source code so the privacy and anonymity features built into the desktop wallet remain. Scriv allows the use of mixing in order to mix your transactions with other users transactions in order to make the transactions much more difficult to trace.

Data Verification Use Cases:

Scriv allows owners of original data and content to prove ownership without actually showing the actual data by the use of hashing to create unique identifiers.

We will also be able to make use of time stamping. Remember, previously if we wanted to timestamp our ideas, we would have to mail ourselves a self addressed stamped envelope with our content inside. Scriv welcomes time stamping to blockchain in the modern world.

Scriv users will be able to make sure that issued contracts can not be changed after both parties have signed.

Users can also prevent the overwriting and duplication of data.

Recently, I had the opportunity to have in depth conversation about Scriv with the founder of the Scriv Network project.

Decryp70: Thank you so much for taking the time to answer a few questions from myself and the crypto community. We really appreciate your time because we know how active and busy you are within the Scriv network community. First of all, what is your name and where are you from?

Lova: Hello. At first I want to thank to you and your team for this interview.
My name is Lova (sure, it's nickname). I'm from Ukraine.

Decryp70: Fair enough, Lova. What is your role on the Scriv team? Who else is involved?

Lova: I'm founder and COO of SCRIV and all related projects. I'm responsible for planning, daily operations, communication with community and some other things.
Another founder is QLee, got a CTO position. He is responsible for all technical aspects of our projects: development, maintenance, updates and implementations.
MSV is our lead developer. Without his superior skills and experience our projects could not move so fast.
Blocktrasher is mainly responsible for design and text adoptions.
Dolapo873 is a our community manager and ambassador, joined our team recently.

It's good to know that everyone on your team contributes in their own way. What got you, personally, into cryptocurrency?

Lova: The main thing that excites me is the opportunities. I believe that cryptocurrencies will become (already becoming) the new class of assets. I can't miss the opportunity to become an early adopter.

Decryp70: We share that in common. I love the fact that cryptocurrency gives us the ability to accomplish things we have never able been to find solid solutions for in the past. What coin was Scriv forked from, what algorithm does it use and why?

Lova: SCRIV has been forked from DASH. We are using it's early 2018 version which is stable and doesn't have any known critical vulnerabilities. The algorithm is called Tribus. It's a relatively "hot", but got an ASIC, NiceHash resistance. It also had a MiningRigRentals resistance before the project launch.

Decryp70: That seems like a solid choice given Dash's history and the success that it has seen. Is this a Proof of Stake, Proof of work coin, or is this a new hybrid of sorts?

Lova: SCRIV is PoW + masternodes coin. We have chosen PoW, not PoS, because this consensus mechanism will work much better for our upcoming data assurance service. Also its advantages like block finality, better decentralization and others are very important.

Decryp70: Those are important things to consider and it is nice to see developers that care about things like decentralization and security over pure profits. How long has the actual Scriv Network been around?

Lova: SCRIV coin has been launched at March 10, 2018 (genesis block and bitcointalk announce date).

Decryp70: 2018 has been a hard year on crypto hodlers. Are you worried about the current market conditions/Bitcoin Price and are current prices demotivating you from working on the project?

Lova: Sure. This situation is stressful for almost any participant of cryptocurrency market. I'm a big fan of long flat instead of deep drop. Especially this situation is affecting a project fund. It can be instantly burned without appropriate management. So now we are forced to be not only the developers, but also market analysts and traders :D

Decryp70: There are so many projects that are simply copies of the original Bitcoin and without use cases, or projects that could have simply just implemented Bitcoin but they chose to make a fork of it in order to secure easy profits for themselves. What use cases do you see for Scriv?

Lova: Oh, the enumeration of it's possible use cases can take a lot of time :D. We know a lot are possible and our community members are suggesting new and new (great thanks to them). The main usecases we see, are in legal matter and digital goods distribution. In this field of activities the data integrity and timestamping are crutial. You can see the details at our whitepaper.

Decryp70: I suggest everyone look at the whitepaper because it is a fresh of breath air to see focus on actual usecases over ROI. When do you think the content identification system will be implemented and become usable?

Lova: Yes. There are already a number of successful projects, like Endo, Tierion, that are providing such services. We are fully confident that SCRIV NETWORK can become a decent alternative.

Decryp70: That is brave and honest of you to bring up competitors in an interview about your project. You must have a lot of confidence in your team and the Scriv Network in general. I think that content time-stamping and authentication are very valuable use cases indeed. This will open so many doors to the blockchain and cryptocurrency world. What do you have planned for the future of Scriv?

Lova: Yes. We are delivering a lot of services, and each of them will take it's place in SCRIV ecosystem.

Decryp70: Super excited to see what else you guys come up with. Lets talk about something that is fun for everyone. What is your ideal price for 1 Scriv coin?

Lova: Our community knows my rule "1 SCRIV = 1 USD". Sure, it's a joke (nope). Hahaha.

(Here you can see when the value of a Scriv masternode went from $108 in price to over $1600 in price over the course of just a few days. After a recent 30% crash in the Bitcoin price and a market correction, the price of a Scriv masternode sits at about $500 at the time of this writing 12/2/2018 )

Decryp70: Haha, with the way I have seen Scriv skyrocket in price, this goal doesn't even sound unrealistic in the slightest, especially when we see another bull run. Because everytime Bitcoin gets attention people are drawn to alt coins that have made significant advances in the technology. What do you hope to accomplish with Scriv?

Lova: In my opinion every project, sooner or later, has to become a business. The aim is - to establish all our services as a businesses, which would be beneficial to our team and SCRIV investors.

Decryp70: I agree, if you aren't looking at it like a business then mistakes can easily be made that are not beneficial to the community or the infrastructure of the network. When new investors find out about your project, what are some things that you want them to know about your coin and platform?

Lova: I want them to know that our project is not only focused and limited by development of one product. We are going to deliver the high-quality services for many infrastructure directions.

Decryp70: What motivates you to continue to invest your time into Scriv?

Lova: As I mentioned before, we are considering SCRIV not just as a project, but as a business.

Decryp70: Fair enough. How is Scriv different from other POS/MN coins?

Lova: The biggest difference is that we have a low-inflation. The highest masternode annual ROI after the project start was 1000% (you can check it at MNO stats), while most of other newborn coins got 5000+% ROI.
Yes, this is not so exciting for investors, but ensures a low emission rate in the long term. As you see, now there are only 158 masternodes live and annual ROI is already 58%. It ensures the healthy being without hyper-inflation.
The other important thing is that 70% of the block reward goes to POW. Miners are the most important party of POW system, they should be highly rewarded for good network operation. After numerous calculations and analysis, I have found out that 70/30 to POW/MN block reward distribution ratio is the most balanced.

Decryp70: As a miner myself, it makes me happy to hear these things. It also makes me want to start mining Scriv. What does the future of the internet look like to you and where do you see Scriv come into play?

Lova: If you mean "Will internet will become more decentralized?" - Yes, it will become for sure.
After tyranny from Google, Microsoft and other corporations, and while people saw the alternatives in decentralized apps(messengers, searches, blogs, video hosting services, etc.) - it's only a question of time when users will move there.

Decryp70: How do masternodes add value to the Scriv blockchain?

Lova: I'm never telling anyone a fairy tales that masternodes play an extraordinary role in our project.
It's a wonderful investment instrument, and we will going to prove it with StackOfStake. We are on the way to deliver some really amazing and mind blowing stuff. It's will open the door to the relatively closed masternode community for fresh blood.

Decryp70: How do masternodes add value to a Scriv user's life?

Lova: By investing in masternode project, which SCRIV is, the investor is expecting not only to get a profit by speculation, but also by getting a passive income by holding coins.

Decryp70: Other then earning an income. Why else should someone invest in Scriv? What suggestions can you give to a new user/investor of Scriv?

Lova: I suggest to everyone to do own research before any investment. Investing is a super-personal thing.

Decryp70: That is a good answer and I respect your honesty. What do you else have planned for the future of scriv?

Lova: As I have mentioned before, we are going to deliver a number of useful services, including data assurance service, and establish it as a business, united into SCRIV ecosystem.

Decryp70: Sound goals, indeed. If you had one piece of advice to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency hodlers and investors, right now, what would it be?

Lova: For hodlers - keep hodling. The storm can't continue forever. For investors - it's too late to sell, guys. Please, become hodlers ;)

Thank you very much for your time, Lova. You bring up a lot of good points and the community certainly appreciates the respect that you pay your investors with your attention to the community and investors.

All in all, Scriv is a legit project with a dedicated team that works around the clock to bring real life use cases to cryptocurrency. As always, whether you are a miner, investor, staker, or potential masternode owner, do your own research and spend some time in the Scriv discord getting to know everyone before making any serious decisions.

Stay tuned for our video coming out on our BitTube channel, Coin Decrypt, where I will be giving away some SCRIV to subscribers who comment their Scriv wallet address.

There are many projects out there that do not care about you or your plans for the future, Scriv is not one of them. You could do a lot worse than by investing your BTC into the Scriv network.
