Cryptocurrency -- Not Just for Porn and Lambos Anymore!

David Hay is a crypt YouTuber that I have been watching for about 6 months or so. He puts a lot of effort into the quality of the content of his videos and does a great job delivering it. He hasn't made a new video in a while and the one below came across my feed today. In this video David outlines a project that he has created to use cryptocurrency to circumvent the government corruption that is used to control improvised people in counties around the world.

There are two main points that excite me about what David is doing and how he is doing it.

First, this sort of application is what first brought me into the world of blockchain technologies. Crytpocurrency will be used to solve massive real word problems that affect billions of people.

Second, the person who is doing is effectively a nobody who used his mind to build something that gave him the resources to follow a passion. Sure, this has been done throughout history. Bill Gates comes to mind with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. What is mind blowing about what David Hay is doing is that it appears that he was able to put himself in this position in about 9 months, not over the course of a 30 year career!

I think that this is just the tip of the iceberg. David Hay is pioneering a trail that will be followed by thousands of nobodies who use technology to change the world. Will you be the next one?
