Jobs. The very mention of the word reminds us of the tedious process of resumé application, resumé submission, interviews, calls, text messages, follow up interviews, and so on. From the employer's side, skimming through hundreds of application and conducting interviews all day is a difficult task. The hassles of job application have lessened over time with the advent of technology.

Nowadays, if we're seeking jobs, we just "Google it". LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc. have been perfect platforms to hire and get hired. Digital resumés, video interviews, online job application has surely eased us into a much convenient space. They're fast and cheap and can be done in the comforts of our houses. Any query is immediately acknowledged and clarified. But there are a lot of gaping holes in the system.

As application skimming is computerised, resumés with popular keywords get selected. This might lead to keyword spamming by an underqualified candidate and losing of an opportunity by an able candidate. Furthermore, with Internet job applications, comes scam from both sides.
