I have recently written a post on what the instigator will be for mass adoption. There is various media articles in circulation about Facebook and Amazon being busy with a new crypto currency.

Will this be the mass adoption that we have been waiting for?

I think this might be a game changer as Facebook have 2.7 Billion registered users. If they have a way to make it easy for people to use their token, we can see adoption on a scale that we have never seen before.

It is all about the ease of use and making ordinary people aware of the token.

According to the article the coin is still in early development stages and will not be released in the near future.

On he other side Whatsapp, is used by millions pf people as well. The target audience mentioned is the remittance market in India, which is a massive market and close to $70 Billion dollars have been sent to India alone. And that is not even mentioning the African market which has a very big problem with multiple currencies on a single continent and the extortionate costs to send money around the continent.

Although this new Facebook token is only a rumor at this point I surely believe that it is something to watch.
