Blockshow Europe 2018 Keynotes : Eric Wang from Achain

I am continuing the presentation of Blockshow Europe 2018 held in Berlin. As you can see your reporter is ready for some serious action…

The conference opened with a tasteless in my opinion drum performance.

A beautiful emcee …

And the CEO of Blockshow Addy Crezee. He mustn’t have said anything of importance because I took zero notes.

Then we had the first keynote from Eric Wang Developer Lead & CPM at Achain.

He represented Achain, a public blockchain platform that enables developers of all levels of experience to issue tokens, smart contracts, create dApps and a Blockchain system.

His talk was about “Sharing Economy”, which is according to Investopedia is an economic model defined as Peer-to-Peer (P2P) based activity of acquiring, providing or sharing access to goods and services that are facilitated by a community based online platform.

According to Harvard Business Review a more correct term would be “Access Economy” since in all cases there is an intermediary company ( for example Uber or AirBnB ) between consumers that don’t know each other and this company provides access to goods and services that are being shared.

And there is an issue with that.

But if we want a decentralized solution with have to deal with these.

Mr Wang’s English were incomprehensible. And he wasn’t the only one at the event. I don’t care who are you or where are you from, if you want to sell your product to an international crowd learn to speak some decent English. Use the millions you got from ICOs to hire a damn speaking coach.

From what I understood there isn’t a ready product yet and there won’t be until Q4 2018.

One of the main issues with Blockchain technology is that we have a lot of nice clouds in our graphs, but not enough real-world implementation.
