Many people were shocked when issues of Facebook Data Scandal came about regarding the Data Analysis Firm Cambridge Analytica. This firm is believed to have received the data of over 50 million profiles of Facebook users from a professor called Aleksandr Kogan. Initially Facebook had an agreement with this professor to collect information about people who downloaded an app he had developed. Along the line he shared this information with Cambridge Analytica who were later believed to have used this information gathered in manipulating elections.
The above scenario to me is just the tip of the iceberg and whether we like it or not I believe there are several of scams going on but we might not be aware. The world through the internet is now a global village where we share information with each other on various platforms being it a website, social media, search engines. Have we ever asked ourselves where all these data are kept and to whom are they shared to without users concerns.
I am sure a someone reading this article will testify receiving information about a promotion or an advertisement in his/her email. In as much as it is of good intention have we ever asked ourselves how these third-party systems managed to have access to our data. That is the situation that befalls the world today and the sad thing is that it seems there is nothing that can done about it but we have the chance to save future generations from this same fate by embracing the concept of Kimera’s Artificial General Intelligence.
EQUIPPING OUR SMART DEVICES WITH INTELLIGENCE AS PROPOSED BY KIMERA
The difference between today’s smart devices like our phones and computers and the ones that Kimera Systems seeks to provide is the level of intelligence the latter is going to possess about the life activities of human beings and how to assist them in their daily lives. Several researches have been made about artificial intelligence but the difference Kimera Systems brings about is the fact their intelligence is based upon a universal theory of intelligence that will use a single algorithm to solve problems.
One of the concerns that is raised by many people when it comes to Artificial Intelligence is that human beings are going to be laid off in our industries so that machines are used to perform tasks but that is not the case in Kimera Systems. These devices will be built in such a way that they would add up to the performance of humans so that we can achieve greater functions. Data is going to be gathered from Kimera participants.
The question now is, how are these devices going to have access to such information about our world and how to operate in it.
THE SOLUTION AS PROPOSED BY KIMERA
The collected intelligence will be shared among the future smart devices on an automated peer-to-peer network which will allow the connected devices share information. By so doing the work of intermediary third-party systems like Google, Facebook will be no more relevant as devices will be able to communicate with themselves. This network will be open for people to join every day and grow the stream of information that is circulated around and also the database of the network. AGI can only get better with more deposits of information as new members come on board.
