3 popular types of blokchains you should know
I've wrote about how the blockchain ledger works. I want to highlight three types of blockchains
1- Permissionless Blockchain
both Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains are permissionless blockchains. This means any node can contribute new transactions.
2- Public Permissioned Blockchain
there are certain nodes which are authorized to broadcast new transactions. an example would be Steem, Bitchares and EOS. Those nodes are voted.
3- Private Permissioned Blockchain
this is similar to the public permissioned blockchain except the ledger is not accessible to the public. Large corporations like IBM, Microsoft, banks, or governments could setup a private ledger and allow only certain users access to it.
