Snake oil won’t solve scaleability problems: Plaza Tech Director Aai

Plaza Technical Director Ronald Aai has publicly pondered the problem of scaleability in traditional distributed ledgers and blockchains.

The scaleability problem is the inability of the first-generation blockchain Bitcoin, running at seven transactions per second (tps), and the “GEN 2” blockchain Ethereum, running at 20tps, to keep up with increasing volumes.

Writing on the professional networking platform LinkedIn, Mr Aai dismissed as “band-aids” and “snake oil” the solutions offered by the “smart greedy people” behind most “GEN 2.5” alternative coins (altcoins).
