🌍 Blockchain News: The Blockchain technology could improve the global food safety! (English/German)
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) an estimated 600 million or almost one in 10 people in the world – fall ill after eating contaminated food every year. And 420,000 of them die, resulting in the subtraction of 33 million healthy life years from global societies and economies.
The blockchain technology is rapidly gaining interest from different industries. The more the Blockchain technology is explored, the more the promise of disruption of traditional business models is considered unavoidable. During the Food Valley Expo in October, the potential and possibilities for solutions based on the blockchain for agricultural foods were presented, using this technology as a tool to create trust, transparency and empower digital compliance for example.

[German] Laut der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) erkranken jedes Jahr geschätzte 600 Millionen oder fast einer von 10 Menschen in der Welt – nach dem Verzehr kontaminierter Nahrung. Und 420.000 von ihnen sterben, wodurch was 33 Millionen gesunde Lebensjahre von globalen Gesellschaften und Volkswirtschaften ausmacht.
Die Blockchain-Technologie gewinnt schnell Interesse aus unterschiedlichen Branchen, denn je mehr sie erkundet wird, je mehr Potential wird entdeckt. Beispielsweise wurden während des Food Valley Expo im Oktober, das Potential und die Möglichkeiten für Lösungen auf der Basis der Blockchain für landwirtschaftliche Lebensmittel vorgestellt, um mit dieser Technologie ein Werkzeug für Vertrauen, Transparenz und digitale Compliance zu schaffen.
